  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

What's in your diaper bag?

Now that my "baby" is 3 and mostly toilet trained I don't tend to carry the bag in with me. It's not a nappy bag (I never did like them very much - all these compartments that I never ever used ROFL) I have a back pack, smaller items go in the front pocket, at the moment there is sunscreen in the front pocket - we're heading into an Australian Summer here. I have at least 3 pull ups, spare undies, probably disposable nappies, complete Summer outfit for dd of shorts and t-shirt, and also socks and a cardigan. I also have wipes, possibly a few My Little Ponies and a few kids books. I also have a bib and plastic bag for wet clothing items.

This bag tends to live in the boot of the car, I only tend to bring it inside if there are wet clothes or undies in there. She has not wet herself while out and about once, but she has done no. 2 while out in her undies. it's really annoying actually.

^^ wow what if they dropped a big poo bomb? Didn't u need wipes at least? :)
Naw...Everywhere you we go there are paper towels and water--or other people with babes who could spare a wipe or two, or worst case scenario -toilet paper. If we are going to a museum or hiking or something, I usually throw some wipes in a ziploc container or bag and chuck them in my backpack. I think there have been times where I've had a container of wipes or some flannel pieces in my car to use as wipes--but I am too scatterbrained to replenish it when it's out. :)

I had the best diaper bag from Italy! What I carried:
At least 2 diapers
Onesie
Bottle
Bottled water
Formula packs
Pacifier (3)
Pacifier holder/clip
Tylenol
Toy
Wipes
Sanitizer
Changing pad
Plastic bag for soiled diaper
Medical cards
Wallet
Sun glasses (me)
Keys (me)

We never had a blow out with either kid. I actually gave away more diapers to unprepared parents than use them myself.
