What's going on around here?

People proclaiming to be Christians are creating posts that deny Christ's divinity.

People are creating posts that make Chrisitanity seem creepy and evil.

People are saying that salvation doesn't come from faith in Christ, but through doing good deeds.

What in the world?

Are we under attack?

Hi Lambslove,

Yes, I believe that there seems to be some "turmoil" within certain areas of the board. As a result of "viewing" other area's posts, (which I do each and everytime I come here) I find myself "only" posting in the Edification area as this seems to be one of two true "loving christian" area's at the present time. The only other area on the board that I feel at "peace" is the Ministry area (I have yet to participate in there however, to me it seems like a "safe" zone.) We may be witnessing the Days of Apostasy.
(I could and would go into a little more detail however, this is not the appropriate place, at the present time)

I will offer a prayer:

I pray to the Father in the Name of Jesus asking that You set the captives free and that You pour out Your Spirit upon all of us here on this forum. I pray that Jesus will come into the many people's live and especially those involved with the sins of the flesh. Please break the sins of pride, and selfishness, and all the dark forces that threaten those coming here, all the dark forces that are oppressing the people and making them miserable. Lift them up Lord, heal them, heal us, heal this world Father in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour. Stop the hurting and insensitive words on this forum Lord that stalk it by night and day, shatter the yokes of slavery and bondage, making this forum whole again. Not only this forum Lord, touch each individual in their hearts, help them all to become whole again. Father please come against all powers, principalities, and spiritual wickedness in this place, and all evil spirits. I pray all of these things in Jesus Name. Amen ..

Amen, I am one person who quit posting anywhere except The prayer, advice, & praise reports. I just got so sick of reading posts that questioned every thing about God. They come on and don't look for answers but only look for confrontation. I tell you the enemy is among us, and you must be able to idenify them. I believe in praying for the lost, but I don't believe in arguing with them. We know the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins, and theirs, the only difference is we are grateful, and accept the free gift of salvation. Free to us, but not free to him, he paid the ultimate price. Some people will deny him till the end. I praise him, and give him thanks for loving me enough to die for me. Praise God

I don't mind the posts that have honest questions about God, but lately there have been anumber of posts in the "Christians Only" areas that ascert unorthodoxies about Christ, like "he isn't really God" and such. I'm really concerned because I see some of the younger Christians falling for the bunk.

Let's especially pray for the young Christians and the deceived/deceiving posters!

Don't take this as truth and don't think I'm applying this to everyone who just came here...I'm not sure if this is happening at all, but I'm wondering if some of the "newbies" are atheists pretending to be Christians. They say they're Christians but speak blasphemies so they can confuse the real, sincere Christians.

If that is the case, then that is just plain sick.

I believe that some of the newbies are JWs and mormons. Just from the things they are posting, you can tell they ascribe to JW and mormon theology and are merely posing as orthodox Chrsitians.

I have not been here long enough to feel like the forums are becoming less than glorifying to Him. I do agree that it is our responsibility as christians to lift up one another if we are not doing this then I ask God for His forgiveness. Sometimes in an effort to make a point we may tend to come across as something other than Christ-like. Lord, please help us all to use this forum in the way you intend for us to do.

hmmmm..so i guess I'm not the only one staying away from the theology and apolgetics rooms.
personally i stay in edification. I found the discussions in other places to be fruitless, and generally unproductive ( this is especially true concering escatology).

If we're all staying away from those forums because of the fruitless, questionable discussions, should we ask the mods and admins to patrol those forums more closely and do more to protect them from the "quiet trolls"? Those forums are supposed to be for us, not them.

I am going to start praying for this site every day. I have not been doing that in my regular daily prayers. This last few weeks this place has been under attack. Perhaps we should all just pray about it.
