Hmm... nooooo idea. You may want to try the gaming forum. You may squeak by here asking which is better: Nethack or Rogue, or what system setup/tweaks will run 2k5 best, but no idea on the this game vs. that. ;)

I've played both and have to say ESPN 2k5 beats EA's Madden NFL 2005 by a slight margin. The main thing that makes 2k5 better is its price, it isn't often you find a high quality game for $20.

On another note, EA has bought the NFL license for the next five years, that means they have exclusive rights to create games using NFL teams, stadiums, and players. So much for choices in '06.

That's weird. I never thought just one company could have rights for the whole year.

Since there is no monopolistic regulation against video games right now, if you have something that someone else wants, they can buy it from you or license it from you for whatever amount of years for a certain amount of money.

EA spent a fortune on this deal and likely, they'll triple that.

Every Madden has sold over a million units since 2002.

I think last year, EA sold 3.5 million copies of Madden to Sega's 1.2? I don't even think they eclipsed a million units actually.
