i thought it was a duck in a chicken in a turkey. seeing as i thought chickens were bigger than ducks. i only ate the chicken part as i don't like turkey or duck.

grits are best with lots and lots of cheese. you're making me want cheese grits. yummy. ravenscape knows some good cheese grits recipes.

Like the Great Pye..

In those Christmases of long ago, before jogging was invented, tables groaned under a monster concoction called 'Great Pye'. In Medieval days it was always the centrepiece at the Royal Christmas table, assuming the table was strong enough. Contained beneath inch-thick, armour-plated pastry was a whole turkey stuffed with a whole goose, stuffed with a chicken, stuffed with a partridge, stuffed with a pigeon. Thrown in for good measure, in case anyone complained they weren't getting enough, was a hare, a few wild duck and a couple of woodcock.

Wow this is a long thread! Forgive me for not reading all of it...

I put butter on my grits, then I mix my eggs (and bacon or sausage if I have it) together with the grits so it's a big glumpy concoction, add a little salt, and chow down. Yummy breakfast!

I like grits with salt, pepper and butter, then I put 2 over easy eggs on top and break the yolk and dip my toast in it.

Now don't make fun of me, but I get the instant grits to take to work. I get the box that have 4 flavors in it. Chedder chesse, butter, bacon and regular. People make fun of me, but I don't care. It is a very good snack at work. It keeps me from eating junk.
