Christ said keep his words, not a history book. I have seen enough history in the world and bible to know how to follow him. That's the problem sometimes, too many books complicate and obscure a simple doctrine, watering it down.

Frankly, most denominational differences were caused by cultural, nationalistic, or ethnic differences. Few people are going to admit that, however, because we're always looking for more intellectual explanations.

Sure, but you are influenced in your understanding of what Scripture means by family, country, etc.

Yet you said you delved into history. So, why did you delve into history if Christ said to keep his words, not a history book?

How complicated is doctrine? Repent from bad things, do good thigs, seek the kingdom. peace, love, humility. Pray, trust, be thankful. Why do i need denominations? Fellowship is good, but must i join Rc for that? did i fail to not please god in something?

Well, if THAT were all there were to Christianity, perhaps we wouldn't have so many denominations. In fact, I'm sure of it.

I dont really, i learn from people, its common knowledge.Why do put trust in Rc after they hunted down heretics? Sounds pharisee like. Sometimes i get the impression they are like neo pharisees.

That is all there is too it. Some are called to be evangelists, preachers and church leaders though.

I think his group is slowly getting absorbed into the RCC and he might be acclimating to acceptance.

they use only the bible. that is the issue in america, alot of people my self included would then have to say which one? b/c sometimes our english bibles just don't agree.

I have contacts in China and they never have asked about “which translation”, just send more.

Look any translation done by a group of scholars that had to agree works just find in all the matters that matter. It is only when you worry about the insignificant stuff that we fight over what the Greek said.

Maybe if we had to do a little thinking, praying, meditating, discussing with other Christians; seekers of the truth, fasting over it, waiting for an answer and a really allowing Spirit to work with us we could know what it means?
