What would you lose if Christianity were not true?

in all reality, this can only properly be answered by former Christians who no longer believe

so if there's any here on this thread, what do They say is lost besides their faith?
I can't help there much.

I didn't say the universe comes to an end. Understand what someone has said before you make a reply. I made the point it doesn't matter what you believe.
Hyperbole, Sanoy. Perhaps consider your answers a little more carefully before responding.

You have a serious issue with strawmanning people because you spend very little time to produce a hasty reply, and no time at all in understanding what you are even replying too. And true to your form, you have no will to behave in a sincere manner. Indeed, I was right in doubting the sincerity of your recent apology. Should you even speak on the purist of truth when you make a mockery of it?

Kenny, you're getting yourself wound up all over nothing.
No, it's not all an Evil Atheist Conspiracy.
Yes, some ex-Christians suffer from various mental pangs due to the trauma they experienced as Christians (which they often didn't feel until they tried to leave the system).
"Poor" attempts is merely your own opinion. Frankly, I find the attempts of Christians to defend their faith to be of dissapointingly low quality.

Anyway, you are just wrong, or the OP didn't convey so well. How could we live the Christian lifestyle the OP said too live....
Well, this is what Big V said:
Perhaps I'm mistaken in my interpretation, but how could you follow a Christian lifestyle if there was no Christianity? Still, if I am wrong, perhaps @BigV could let me know if he had a different meaning.

....if there never was Christianity to show us how to live that life?
Well, exactly. that's why I assume that's not what he meant.
So you really would like to see us de converted? Yikes, that insecurity I mentioned...worse than I thought.
Insecurity? Only in your own mind, Kenny.
As far as I'm concerned, all else being equal, I would prefer people to know the truth rather than live under a delusion. Why, do you think it's better for people to NOT know the truth?

Don't mistake impatience with poor reasoning for insincerity, Sanoy.
I advise you to to take a little more time in composing yourself so you can make your points sensibly and coherently.

If you're impatient don't post. You can't claim truth matters, while posting in a rush to push your beliefs. Doing that is just rhetoric.

See what I mean? You misread what I said, and so your response doesn't make sense.
How about we take a break from each other for a while?

Since you don't make strawmans, and it had nothing to do with me, I assumed you were speaking of yourself.

Do we need a break because you strawman me and act insincere toward discussion? No man, we don't need a break, you need a break from the forum to remend your behavior, because it is unfit for discussion and it is how you behave to every Christian here.

I can see you're getting worked up. Carrying on talking to you would be unfair. Goodbye for now. Maybe on another thread.

I meant, if Christianity turns out to be false, and there is no Jesus/God the Father, etc...., what would you lose at the end by following a lifestyle that assumes the Bible/Jesus/God the Father, etc... are all real.

Thank you very much! That's what I thought you meant.

I'm not worked up, this is just how I speak, succinct and direct, when it's necessary. You will find I speak according to the occasion and what I perceive is warranted from it. I have no ill will or anger toward you. I do in fact love you, which is why I do not abide this barrier between you and Christian respondents. There are many here who I would love to have a meaningful conversation with, but many who are here are not here to engage in that. Until that changes, a conversation with those people will be fruitless.

If this life is all there is, and you followed a Christian lifestyle, what would be your loss if this life is the only existence we have?

Do all things unto others, just as you would wish them do unto you.
This is the foundation of the Law of Moses and of the teachings of the prophets.

This God asks of all people, even those who will never believe.

What do non-believers get? They are in Hell already.

Philo, I'm not badgering you about this, just curious, I promise.
Are you planning on doing a thread about Lessing's ditch? If you're too busy, no worries.

As I've indicated, it's already ready to go. It's been ready to go. It's just sitting there, now, waiting for your first response. (I mean, it will be a collective, group project of at least two, right? I'm not really looking for a stage upon which to provide a monologue here.)

Good. In that case, let me be frank as well.

This is just how I speak as well, succinct and direct, when it's necessary. You will find I speak according to the occasion and what i perceive is warranted from it. I have no ill will or anger toward you. I do in fact think you can make good points at times. At present, however, it seems that productive discussion between is unlikely, so I will bid you adieu.

I kind of assumed you would start a thread on it so as not to derail a current one.

Sado-masochists would appreciate your sentiment, but I'm afraid, their doing to others may not always bee welcomed by those others, even if foundational.

That is often countered.
But they are actually seeking kind love. The problem is that not finding kindness, they resort to other learnt disorders.
