The law in Canada may still be that you can have sex as a minor/adult with another minor so long as the age difference is not more than two years.
But sex between males is illegal for anyone under the age of 21.
i cannot remember the source.

I would say you were citing the Catechism of the Catholic Church Also, showing compassion and good sense. And hey, that's what they taught us in CCD class when I was a teenager, too...

Anyway, I don't understand why this situation is only applied to gay male teens? Surely the same issues of online safety, and of morality, apply to straight teens and gay female teens?

Isolation is not healthy. Being scared and confused with no one with which one feels safe to talk with can lead to self-destruction. Kids in this situation need someone to tell them that it will be okay.

Minors should be advised to contact a professional counselor, or pastor, priest, rabbi, in their area. They should not be told do whatever feels good.

You will, of course, prove where in this or any other thread discussing homosexuality over four years, anyone claiming to be a Christians has ever said someone should be told "do whatever feels good." Aren't you the member who was complaining about other people making false statements about what people's motives were?

I thought that being gay was okay, and yet, even with gays voting in the poll, not one has voted to refer him to a gay WEBsite (13 votes in so far and only that option not voted on)?

I wonder why that is ? Is it that it (a gay WEBsite) honestly reflects the reality of the lifestyle ?

You will explain who in any of these threads has said, "do whatever feels good," won't you? And not ask your teammates to censure me for having the temerity to expect an answer of you when you keep repeating it? Thanks for your expected response.

because you don't refer someone in that situation to a website, even if it is the best website in the world.

Oh, I thought it was because it is understood that gay WEBsites are dominated with topics about SEX and contain vulgar pornograghy.

Are there any homosexuals in CF who could refer me to a gay WEB that does not have that content ?

Well, I'm not a homosexual, and I don't know of any "gay WEBs", but I could direct you to some gay-oriented websites that don't have pornography and aren't all about sex. Would I be violating any CF rules if I posted such sites?

I doubt it. But then again, I'm not a mod. I have posted gay oriented websites such as the ones you mentioned without getting in trouble before.

Here goes. I don't really have an opinion one way or the other about any of these sites, not being familiar enough with them to form one, but they're all pretty darn clean, and gay-oriented.
http://www.advocate.com/
http://www.gaychurch.org/
http://www.cathedralofhope.com/
http://www.jesusmcc.org/

That took me about two minutes on google. No doubt I could find a zillion more if I were seriously looking for good clean gay-friendly sites.

Professional counselors may not be available without alerting parents who might be hostile to a gay child. Pastors, priests, and rabbis might react poorly as well.

No one will tell them to do whatever feels good. What they need to know is that things will turn out okay. They need to know that God loves them regardless of whether they are attracted to the same sex or not. They need to know that continued attractions to the same sex are not a sign that they are bound for Hell. Too many kids get told that something must be wrong with them if their prayers to become heterosexual are not answered, conclude that because their prayers haven't been answered God doesn't love them, and kill themselves in despair. They need hope.
