Shamira was just finishing her survey of her territory and setting up camp for the night. Wayra has come across her campsite while traveling through the swamps in an effort to elude a group of Dark Knights, so called because of their responsibility of hunting down possible Christians and forcing them to stand trial for summary judgment and possible execution.
Wayra climbs down out of the tree he is hiding in and greets Shamira. After a short conversation about why he is there, Shamira agrees to let him stay at the campsite and she goes to bed. Wayra climbs a tree and goes to bed as well.
The next day they eat a deer for breakfast. Shamira continues on her way. She doesnt realize that Wayra is following her. By midday Shamira hears splashing through the swamp and sees 3 horsemen approaching. Wayra is hidden in the trees.
