What Will Happen if I Accidentally Post in Singles?

I've caught myself several times ready to write a post and see that it's for 'Singles Only'. I don't think I've actually done it yet but maybe a blinking neon sign for newbies like me will help.(lol)

Seriously, though, are the rules strict here when something like that happens?

Most of us at one time or another have accidentally post in a forum we shouldn't be in; it just happens...especially when viewing the new posts list and playing games etc!

The members of specific forums are usually understanding of mis-posts, and unless a person openly posts with disregard.....no worries.
If reported, usually staff will just pm the person to remind them of the rules of that forum.
When a person ignores the rules purposely, then the moderating system begins.

They may or may not let you know.
I have had them invite me to stay and play games after I caught myself and posted "OOPS...wrong forum", but graciously declined because of the rules.
I'm sure they really don't want an OLD BIRD hanging around any way...and were just being polite
It is tempting at times when you see they need prayer or are asking for advice (sometimes I will pm or rep them).

You're enthusiasm is refreshing...don't stop!

then, they would be ignored
and forums would very quickly deteriorate uncomfortably

There are good reasons for the rules
and, while genuine mistakes can be excusable
there can be no-excuse for deliberately flouting them


The Golden Eagles is an age-related forums, with a 'qualifying age' of, 50 years
We do however, treat visits by younger persons, with polite acknowledgements

So, to answer your question, ~ yes, the rules are, in-effect, 'laws'
that are moderated, by a group [or groups] of dedicated persons
whose remit, is to ensure the smooth running of the site
iow: to ensure members treat each other as respectfully as they should be treated
