That has not been my experience. As everyone pointed out Mitch Pacwa who is running EWTN basically is explanatory and the priest who married me and my husband was a Jesuit and no I saw no problems with him. Hes the one who brought me into the Church.PeterPaul said:You're right, let's just put some blinders in front of our eyes. But we are after all in the generation of "that's not what my priest in sullivan county is like". How many Jesuits do we need to realise there is a problem with the order? Next thing you know the Franciscans are going to be the hotbed of thomistic philosophy.

Hi Shannon,
here is what you previously wrote:
Did I and others misunderstand the original OP? Somehow, it seems that the OP was already talking about the SSPX and someone brought up the CPA too...
Personally, I don't know that much about the Jesuits and I was hoping that someone would post some information about them... positive information...
Since others already mentioned the SSPX, I thought that maybe it would be a good idea to clarify what the SSPX is... because I didn't know myself until awhile ago.
I'm not trying to be hurtful or unkind.. only want to protect us from believing non-truths... sorry if I offended you or others... Although, I still would like to know more about the various groups of the Jesuit priests.

Obviously, reasonable people , will find that entire premise just as much hogwash as saying ALL housewives are good cooks. Some are, some aren't. Period. End of story.D'Ann said:I'm confused... one side is saying this and another is saying that... I really would like to know what this is all about... Are all Jesuits wrong or are there different societies or branches of the Jesuit priests... or did a few fall away or not... please forgive my ignorance... but I'm really trying to learn about this... Maybe I can google about Fr. Mitch Pacwa... His name is very familiar to me. I've seen him on EWTN and he seems to be a very pure and holy man of God. I like him.

It's like " I painted my toenails last night, and oh, by the way- we all ought to attend Tridentine Mass, banish the Jesuits, take up issue with the CPA, and make sure we call Protestants schismatics. Would you pass the chips, please?"
Fifth I'm getting feed up with the holy then thou attidtue of posters on this board specaily when it goes to the extent that its consider proper to accuse and judge even priests.

There are Orders of Dominicans who are totally and completely faithful to Church teaching, and then there are some who are less so-- which still doesn't indicate the individual holiness of each member.

For the life of me I never understood how those who complain about the problems in the Church dont see what theyre doing as the very thing they complain about.
Let providence handle this. The Church will not be over taken by anyone. Geeze.
Yes!!!I still feel that no matter what, we need to pray for everyone... that is the most loving and caring gift that we can give to them.

Should the Vatican invade China and put down this puppet church established by the Chinese government?
To be honest, I dont how I forgot this but actually, Loyal university here in New Orleans has become a problem with the liberal agenda. I just posted a story recently how they were honing a native Catholic political family that includes US Senator May Landruie. They were honoring their father who was the Mayor years ago and he two siblings, Landruie and her brother, a local politician here are pro death as you can be. Mary Landrue has flip flopped more than Kerry on the issue and the university was honoring them.D'Ann said:I'm confused... one side is saying this and another is saying that... In the past they have hosted a few pro death speakers and the faithful has protest the sessions but the good news is, our bishop is doing something about it. He refused to attend the ceremony where they honored the pro death family and he is in dialogue with the university about the problems with liberalism. The school is known for law here so I can only imagine what is coming out of that school.
The deal is, this is a problem we are having with the university who is run both by secular people and Jesuits priests. It is not something we should condemn the whole order over.
