I rather favor the release of the information. Why not? This possibly made news because the royal family are German Their origin is from the House of Orange. While the last name they adopted, Windsor, was derived from one of their estates.
That being said, everyone in that video is dead save the current queen of England. Holding up a child's innocent very brief Nazi salute as a means of smearing the grown woman who's over 80 years removed from that time is about as low as journalism can go.
What's it mean? Nothing! She was a child.
It's not about what the Queen did. It's about the monarchy and government. What a seven or eight year old did 80+ years ago isn't vital to British security.
I know I'm a bit late ...It's not about what the Queen did. It's about the monarchy and government.
I already highlighted many relevant parts. Imagine someone trying to gain permission to conduct archaeological digs at various sites to uncover and analyze WW2 Holocaust artifacts. They can be prosecuted for attempting to deny, put in doubt, justify, or dispute the official story, or simply for "disturbing the public peace".Point it out.

Well said.I know I'm a bit late ...
That salute was mandatory in Germany. So giving it to appease a German diplomat is just that, being diplomatic. And the British Government at that time was trying to keep the peace with Germany.
Somehow, 80 years later, news, running out of real news make this gesture an issue. And; did the Royals sympathize with the Nazis? I seriously doubt that. Like Russia, Germany was a threat.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Allied and Axis leadership were both secretly on the same side. Using the Bible and the Koran and their veiled prophecies as "playbooks" to manipulate world events, and thus, the psychology of the masses, for profit. The People being the losers.
I disagree with you, you disagree with me. Got it.Nothing you posted, would limit one's desire to investigate the evidence, no matter how many times you make the claim.
False witness & red herrings.Somehow I knew that this would end up as a grand conspiracy with thousands of people in on it but no-one talking. Just like 9/11.
The tactics of holocaust deniers and 9/1 truthers are the same - present snippets of evidence and demand explanations whilst refusing to present comprehensive evidence for their arguments, all the while ignoring the overwhelming evidence against their argument
I disagree with you, you disagree with me. Got it.
Whatever the case may be, the fact that there are indeed laws against questioning the official party line regarding the Holocaust shields "real investigation of the evidence", if not on the actual land, then in the public forum, in court, etc.
As someone with a science background, are you not against such laws?
The laws only explicitly forbid denying holocaust facts to promote anti antisemitism. And it has to be proven in court that your opinion against the holocaust is willfully anti Semitic. Thus I think freedom of speech exists, even in Germany, for as long as your speech, right or wrong is not designed to promote hate against Jews.I don't like the laws, they inhibit freedom of speech. With that said, they do not inhibit any investigation of the evidence.
What I am pretty sure is the last known picture 'of' my avatar shows him giving the Nazi salute to Hitler. Less than a week later he delivered a rather different 'salute'.
That a child would salute in the same manner has even less meaning as evidence of support for the regime.
You are very close to the point, Keith. The more I think about it the more I am concerned about focusing on how 'The Royals' were at fault. It seems that they are being made a scapegoat, that the views of the common man are being ignored or at the least put far into the background.
In many ways Hitler was little different than many others of the time. The one huge difference is he took the attitude to its logical conclusion. And even in that he was not all that different from several others. Having control of Germany and having efficient mignons to do his work simply revealed the monster he was, there are still many similar monsters today. Hopefully none will ever have the power he did.
But he would have failed miserable if his views were not shared by a huge number of people. If the bias were against one of the regions of Germany or Austria he quickly would have been deposed.

Look at it from the government side, they paid (still pay) billions of Deutsch Marks and now Euros to Israel for the damage the Nazis inflicted, only to cater to those that ignore history and say the Nazis did no such thing. I am all for free speech, but keep hate to yourself.
Correct. Even a small potato like me can go and investigate, quite openly. Frankly, this holocaust was so shocking, I had a hard time believing it and needed to figure this out for myself.Considering the circumstances, I completely understand why these laws are on the books.
Again, the laws DO NOT inhibit the free investigation of the evidence.
