No this has nothing to do with arrogance it has everything to do with context. Is the universe going to be saved if it believes? Will it perish if it doesn’t believe? Is there anything in the entire chapter about the earth or the heavens or the universe?

All things came into being through him and without him not one thing came into being. The context is universal. We should be grateful we're included instead of arrogantly assuming it's all about us. If you want to save your being, lose it. It's not yours anyway.

John 1:3 has nothing to do with the message in John 3:16 or 1 John 4:14. In both cases it is referring to people not inanimate objects or animals or stars or planets or trees or water or rocks or rainbows or unicorns or anything else God created. So I wouldn’t consider someone as being arrogant for examining the context in which a word was used in the sentence, however I might consider someone arrogant who just refuses to admit when he made a mistake.

From a theistic perspective, they did not give mankind much purpose other than to look at their fossils. Not to mention the species that did not fossilize that mankind has no knowledge of.

Adam was given dominion over all the animals... for our created world.

In the prehistoric world the angels were given dominion over what we now call dinosaurs.

Those who fail to understand the GAP understanding of creation are at a loss to explain the dinosaurs. They must come up with all sorts of speculations as to try to explain the fossil records.

Anti GAP creation proponents erroneously try to tell us that the GAP theory was invented to justify the Theory of Evolution. That is just the opposite of what the GAP theory proposes. It shows that there was no evolution between the dinosaur and our present creation. When others read that the GAP was invented to justify evolution they stop reading, and assume that the GAP theory justifies evolutionists. Its just the opposite. People need to better understand what the Hebrew text actually says.

Birds are dinosaurs. Technically, they are dromaeosaurs, a group of small, feathered theropod dinosaurs, the sole surviving branch of a group that included Velociraptor, Archaeopteryx, and Deinonychus. They form a single clade because there are no apomorphic characters in birds that are not also found in dinosaurs.

Archaeopteryx is very close to the line that produced birds, but it's not quite a bird.

Edit: There might be one significant difference between birds and other dinosaurs. So far as I know, only birds have a very enlarged premaxillary bone.

I do not read Gnostic texts because they aren't canonical, but I did not know that.
