A Samoyed named Summer Storm. The best little white fuzzball this man could've had growing up. Now I have a Siberian Huskie guess I just love northern dogs.

Hi, we lived in Alaska a long time and saw lots of Huskies. Did yours come from there? The Fur Rendezvous sled dog races were always exciting for us to watch. Even when it was way below zero in February in downtown Anchorage from where the race started.

the first one i remember is a blonde cocker spaniel named Nick. we got him at christmas and mom named him after "st. nicholas."

he had rage syndrome, though, which is pretty common in cocker spaniels. he had to be put down after he bit several people. that's actually a sad story. :(

Yes, we had a cocker spaniel who was like that too. She was okay with us though but just too protective and tried to bite. :(

We don't know where she came from. My Wife and I where really wanting a pet so off we went to the humane society and there she was a pure bred huskie my wife was looking at all the little dogs (which were cute and all) but when I looked at her I knew she needed us, and boy was I right she was so sick we thought we may have to put her down but the vet we found here in Chattanooga was/is wonderful he did his very best and now she is back to health.

Toy,an orange/white tabby kitten. Then Sassy,a border collie mix[we were in England]. First pet all my own was a green parakeet given by my paternal grandparents for my 9th BD and I named it Petey. It lived for 9 years and we never knew for years that "he" was actually a "she". She was a total blast, amazing how much personality was in that little body.

He was a little black cocker spaniel named Sammy. Before that our dogs were usually my mother's, but Sammy was all mine and I took care of him. He caught a virus and died at six months. It was really hard for me to get over that...I still remember him very well and that was over 50 years ago.

My first pet was a little orange salamandar that my father caught for me in the Pocanoes when he went there. His (or her) name was Skippy Pinky, and he/she lived in a jar. One day he/she died. :( I was four and very sad.

Several years later we got a puppy, a keeshond. That's a Dutch breed, kind of like a little husky with lots of long fur. I LOVED that dog so much, I miss him to this day even though I saw him for the last time over 15 years ago. His name was Silver. He taught me that if you love someone, you can be totally happy being in their presence and not doing anything else.
