Oh,, I just remembered... Imitation of Life,, it's a real boohooer.. and Backstreet.. Old movies for a young girl like me,, but they are sooooo good

I have a DVD of Imitation of Life - the one with Lana Turner, John Gavin, and Sandra Dee. Yes, a real tear jerker especially the ending. Claudette Colbert was in the first one which, I think, was made back in the 1930's in B&W. I didn't think it was nearly as good as the remake.

And I have seen all three versions of Back Street...which was my mother's favorite oldie. The last one with Susan Hayward was good. John Gavin was in that too. So handsome. Later, he became an ambassador to Mexico, I think.

Did anyone see the oldie but goodie thriller, Midnight Lace, with Doris Day? Gavin was in that too.

I guess that im the only one who cried the first time i saw a walk to remember?

I bawled, and I mean bawled! I was a mental wreck for the rest of the afternoon and my fiance came over and thought someone had died or something. *laughs*

It's a definate even between A Walk to Remember and The Passion of The Christ - for different reasons though, of course. ;)

Steel Magnolias
Pearl Harbor (yes I actually liked the movie)
Episode III... more just teared up at Padme's funeral
Phantom of the Opera... at the very end, when they show the rose with the black ribbon, I just completely lost it
Schindler's List... at the end when the real-life people are walking by Schindler's grave...

I know there's more, but I can't think of them at the moment...

The only movies that I actually did cry at was Finding Neverland and My Dog Skip, but there are other movies that bring me close to tears:

The Notebook
Big Daddy (the part when the little boy is leaving...)
Secondhand Lions
ect....I could go on and on, but I won't. :)

My biggest tearjerkers:

Schindler's List
The Passion of the Christ
The Color Purple
Brian's Song (made for tv...but such a 3 kleenex box movie!)

Yeah, I saw Brian's Song again on TV the other day and couldn't help but cry. I sobbed out loud at "The Notebook". "Titanic", The Passion of the Christ", Schindler's List" and the final "Lord of the rings" movie all made me cry recently. I think "Captain Corelli's mandolin" also made me tear up.

I cried at the end of "the Dirty Dozen."

Jim Brown was throwing these hand grenades down these airshafts.

And Richard Jaeckel and Lee Marvin *sniff* were sitting on top of this armored personnel carrier, dressed up like Nazis...

And Trini Lopez busted his neck while they were parachuting down behind the Nazi lines... *sob*

And Richard Jaeckel - at the beginning he had on this shiny helmet...

*sniff* I loved that movie.

Ok, ok... that was "Sleepless in Seattle".

Seriously, although almost everyone else has already named this one, for me it was the Passion.
