What was something you remember that you liked from the 1990's?

The concept of the espresso coffee bar suddenly became popular in the UK sometime in the late 1990s.
Coffee shops started appearing everywhere (as they had already done on the Continent for quite some time) with large espresso "bean to cup" machines, offering a wide range of styles from espresso, americano to latte, mocha and cappuccino.

There were lots of shoe brands trending at the time. We had Dr Martens and toughees for school wear and bad boys for special occasions ...

I miss how much easier it was to talk and socialize with people back then. Facebook and social media has destroyed social circles in communities. Blockbuster was the place to visit for a routine hourly talk of just "catching up". And if there wasn't anyone there you knew; one could always talk to the checkout people who always seemed to be full of interesting topics to discuss on a whim.
