What was it that made you become a Baptist?

Greetings my fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. This question are for all those people who were not brought up in a Baptist church but came from another Christian church.

If you could please state which church/denomination that you came from and the reasons for why you became a Baptist?

While I was raised Baptist, which technically disqualifies me from answering your question, I have attended many different denominations. I remain a Baptist because I find it agrees most with the Scriptures.

Are there any other reasons why you chose to stay in the Baptist church?
Which other churches have you been to and what about them didn't you like?

I was raised Southern Baptist and did not have much exposure to other Christian groups.

I used to attend a private school owned by an SDA church and became influenced by them, but I remain Baptist. The main thing I got from the Adventists is the Saturday worship.

However, I still worship on Sunday because I feel God hasn't called me to leave my church and Sunday is when it meets. While I believe Saturday is the Sabbath and was never abolished, I don't want to be a legalist or judge the vast majority of Chrisitans who worship on Sunday.
