What type of full time ministry are you involved in?

God has been doing an amazing work in my life and He has led me to do more and more in my church.

I have a contract job at the moment and I freelance and I am working from an office at my Church.
The more I'm here the more work I want to do for the church and not secular work. I don't know if God is leading me to full time ministry worki but if He is I'd have to take on alot more responsibility to warrant me getting paid for it.
I run the sound and av ministry during the services and I've created a couple of videos to show at youth to advertise forthcoming events. So I'm growing to love multimedia. I'm helping at youth tonight just displaying DVD's when they arrive and afterwards when they're socialising.

My questions are what full time ministry are you involved in and how do you get paid? I'm assuming not all of you are ministers and so you might not get paid a fixed salary by your Church? My Church can't afford another full time worker besides my pastor and the congregation are not well enough off to sponsor me.

Hi TLB!

I was the standard-issue full time preacher/pastor mostly in small rural congregations from 1985-2003. Since then I've been working on a doctoral degree so I can teach pastors-in-training in a Seminary somewhere. Just recently my school hired me to be Dean of the Chapel, so while I finish my degree, I help facilitate 3 worship services per week & try to help the students understand that attending worship is a major part of their formation as christian leaders.

I'm a member of Scriptures for America Worldwide which is a is an international outreach ministry of the LaPorte Church of Christ and is directed by Pastor Peter J. Peters.

Currently.

Social mission/outreach way outside the church with marginalized groups.

Working on two degrees [BSc H&SC and BA Applied Theo'] in parallel my spare time.

Get paid by a mix of Christian groups and secular for providing courses and training but it has always been enough for what I need.
