obvious turnoffs: dirty mouth, conceit, patronizing attitude, any type of substance abuse, unable to think for himself, greed, being spoiled, not taking a shower in weeks.

turnoffs more particular to me: too extroverted, too experienced w/women, too eager for the physical stuff, won't respect my independence, hates cats

turn-ons :) : First and foremost, Heart after God!!! Besides that: On the quieter side yet still easy for me to talk to, cute smile, somewhat athletic (or at least slightly interested in gymnastics), the more academic the better :), imaginative, creative, into theology, not very into appearances (yet still thinks I'm pretty!), independent.

* Those who can't get over my past and drag it up in conversation
* "Holier Than Thou" behaviour
* One who makes fun of me when I don't know something
* One's who don't act towards me as Jesus would
* Those who treat those 'less fortunate' than themselves with disdain
* Those who laugh at injustice
* Someone who expects me to wear a dress and makeup all the time
* Mummy's boys - ones who expect me to clean up after them, take care of them without them helping themselves, and runs to mum when there's a hassle
* Someone who blames other people for everything that goes wrong
* Someone who makes excuses for their mistakes all the time, and can't admit they were wrong
* Someone who doesn't strive to do better in his Christian walk
* Financial 'wishy-washyness' - ie no budget, no stable job, no lifeplan

Everything else would be rather shallow...

It's one thing if the hand is innocently resting, but when he starts grabbing for stuff he shouldn't be grabbing for, it becomes copping a feel...if my clothing is being shifted around, it's probably copping a feel.

NOT in love with Christ, obnoxious, proud, arrogant, dull, vain, smoker, drinker, not a virgin, looks at girls as if they're some object or something, potty mouth, thinks he's the coolest guy living on earth, flirt, sprays too much cologne, doesn't take care of himself (slob, unhealthy, etc), no sense of humor, judging, so liberal, doesn't value education, a lazy bumm, video game addict, scatter brain, makes a girl pay for the meal, not polite, not courteous, not respectful especially to their elders, and etc.. etc... [oh and an Aggie or a Sooner (just kidding--just thought it's something funny)]

I have some questions. Sense this is posted in the singles forum and not elsewhere I'm going to ask them.

Unintelligence? What are you meaning by that. So your not gonna like someobdy cause they dont get straight A's and have a bachelors degree or because they dont know who Robert E. Lee is, what are you meaning?

Being ''overly Sensitive''? are you not a very sensitive person yourself? so are you saying you like to be weak but the guy always needs to be strong?

immaturity/drama, arent you a pretty dramicful person?

Long hair? cause somebodys hair is not short enough thats a turn off?

And when ya'll say ''smoking'' does that mean smoking ANYTHING or cigarettes? Pipes and cigars are different, to me atleast. I think its totally gross and a turn off when a girl smokes a *** cuz they are addictive and harmful to your health but when shes got a cigar thats totally a turn on for me so thats why I'm asking.

Another thing cursing, ok why in the world is that a turn off? so many of you mentioned it. (i dont curse!) but I dont see why and how someone says what they say is a turn off their just expressing themselfs I dont see why if one person says ''go to hell'' and another says ''go away i dont want you here'' is any different. anyone wanna explain why its a turn off?

The way you just responded is what I mean by drama ;)

As for long hair, I don't prefer it myself. I am more attracted to guys with shorter hair. It is just a personal preference. Just as you are probably more attracted to women with in shape bodies versus those who let themselves go :p

For overly sensitive, I mean a guy who is too weak or is a wuss, basically. Also, this includes men who are too effeminate. I want a man to be manly. I wouldn't be getting a master's degree in social work if I was an insensitive person ;)

Find this hilarious - I'm sure ALL the girls have looked at the turn offs for men and got offended, but chosen not to say anything - yet the guys HAVE to voice it when they get upset over what we say :p

Guys - it's PERSONAL opinions - not directed at you personally, k??? :)

For me, I don't like it when guys curse because: 1. cursing makes people sound unintelligent, 2. It's spoken against in the bible, 3. It's traditionally considered bad manners for a man to curse in the presence of a lady 4. I don't want to get in the habit of cursing and when I'm around people who curse a lot...I have to struggle not to do it too.

And most importantly: 5. Because I can deem it a turn off (to me) if I want to. :p

The smoking thing...

1. I'm allergic to smoke and don't want to be around it or smell it on someone's clothes.
2. There are too many ways to get cancer accidentally to go out and get cancer on purpose. Not to mention you put your loved ones at risk when you smoke, so it doesn't just affect your health.
3. Stained teeth/bad breath
4. Phleghmy disgusting cough

If it's just an occasional cigar with his poker buddies, it's not such a big deal. But I can't deal with a smoking habit in a relationship.

liars: if you'd rather be dating someone else, say so! Don't make us both miserable

men that won't open up. It doesn't turn me off, but it's very hard having a one-sided conversation the entire relationship. Shyness at first, not included here
