Thoughts on what this is trying to say?

Maybe they're trying to say that people in the Intelligent Design movement are trying to undermine evolution, and that it's just a phase that the evolved creatures are going thru to try and understand their existance. ???

I think it is saying that the evolution of man has resulted in the rise of a species that is systematiclly destroying the biosphere it procedes from. What distinquishes us from the apes more then the use of tools? Intelligence is a double edge sword, it can produce tools that are a great help and at the same time do great harm. I think that the irony of the cartoon is that the very thing that distinquishes from the apes makes us vastly more dangerous.

I agree that this seems to be what the cartton is saying, but I disagree with the statement made if that is indeed what it is saying....
I think the thing that makes humans dangerous is sin.

I agree with Mark, and I think the artist is questioning the "intelligence" behind the design. And I agree with TwinCrier that it is not the design that is the problem, but our sin in not following our responsibility as "stewards" given "dominion" over the planet.
