God gave me a throne
I would suggest reading that statement about women covering their heads about 10 or 15 times.
There is a key verse in it, which says a woman would never have to wear a head covering, because God gave them hair to cover their heads already. So God gave women a natural hair covering. They don't have to wear anything.
The reason Paul wrote those verses was because Paul was saying men should have their heads uncovered, and then Paul wanted to show how the rule was fair to both men and women, and he showed how women had the same requirement as men. But women fulfill that rule naturally by how God made them. Men also fulfill it naturally by how God made us.
If anything it concerns haircuts. Men should keep shorter hair and women longer hair. If a woman keeps a very short cut, perhaps she should wear a covering according to that verse. And if a man has long hair it is shame.
It was Paul who said: 20 When I was with the Jews, I lived like a Jew to bring the Jews to Christ. When I was with those who follow the Jewish law, I too lived under that law. Even though I am not subject to the law, I did this so I could bring to Christ those who are under the law. 21 When I am with the Gentiles who do not follow the Jewish law, I too live apart from that law so I can bring them to Christ. But I do not ignore the law of God; I obey the law of Christ.
The law of Christ supersedes practical church rules, apparel (outer coverings), ect. The law of Christ is justification by faith, and the law of love to all. And so if to follow love, you wore a hat in church as a man and prayed, then you follow the law of Christ.
