Mennonite theology typically calls the people - 'the church', and it's a lived thing, and not a sunday only thing.

Christ spoke of liberating ourselves from earthly kingdoms and ungripping from earthly possessions and greed.

The greatest commandment is loving people.

You should go to the church that you can be apart of their lives the most and has a focus on the poor and on loving.

These are what should guide your involvement in a church community. Everything else is details.

Going to a sunday service is merely to form a hopeful culture with those people by praising God, and perhaps to give you something for your mind to chew on.

These are excellent points, thank you :)

Start today, no matter where you are or where you go.
Don't wait another hour.
as it is written "TODAY, ......
Hebrews 3:15-19

New International Version (NIV)

15 As has just been said:
“Today, if you hear his voice,
do not harden your hearts
as you did in the rebellion.”[a]

16 Who were they who heard and rebelled? Were they not all those Moses led out of Egypt? 17 And with whom was he angry for forty years? Was it not with those who sinned, whose bodies perished in the wilderness? 18 And to whom did God swear that they would never enter his rest if not to those who disobeyed? 19 So we see that they were not able to enter, because of their unbelief.

Jesus told His Own disciples "with men it is impossible, but with God all things are possible"
and Jesus said "if you trust yourself to accomplish this, you have already failed, but if you trust your father in heaven to do this, it is already as good as done."

so may it be, yes, today. ABBA is willing.

Crazy as Heaven, I think all bible believing christians should serve God 24/7 and not just on Sunday. My how the world would be a different place if we all did that (I fall short of this goal)

I currently attend a non-denominational evangelical church, despite the fact that, after some time of consideration, I have concluded that I would likely feel more at home in an anabaptist church. The problem is, the only anabaptist (Mennonite Church USA) church near me is very liberal (they perform gay marriages, for example), and I'm not theologically liberal.

I would 100% advise against going to any church that is preforming same-sex marriage, etc you would do much better in a nominal evangelical church.
