  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I play both video games, watch tv, and play MMORPGs. Here is what to do besides get entertained? So, if you're downloading or updating a MMO on your computer you should go exercise/workout, read a book/manga, study for classes, go outside to hang out with your friends, play sports, watch the news on tv, play card games/board games with your friends, play an instrument, learn a language. You should limit the time you play video games/MMORPGs for around 1-2 hours a day.
You should do any of the above before playing video games/MMORPGs and watch tv. You should also play with your pets like dogs/cats which are common, walk the dog, read your holy bible, and pray to the real God. In the summer, go swimming, biking.

Great suggestions/prioritizations, LinkxPeach! Personally I've never had a TV in my own home, and I've been independent since I was 20. I'm not focused on being entertained.

Everything in it's own time and proper place. I wouldn't say there's no place for TV to have a function, but what are you getting from it and where's the moderation? I feel as though I have to say it because I do enjoy video games but I do not have cable because I simply don't/won't watch it. Christian, faith-based movies are also goodies.

But with that said, it's rare that I play video games because, as you said, there are SO MANY THINGS to do. But sometimes a strategic video game is the jump start I need to really get my mind going. Some people of course use it to play mindless games which relaxes the brain if it's already been over stimulated. The Bible is so interesting though that honestly, I'd prefer to read that over do many things.

To add to your list, hiking is fantastic, and who doesn't love mini-golf? If you're out-doorsy you could also get a couple of books on tree and bird identification, or animal track identification. Make your hike an outdoor adventure!
