What things have changed in the world in your lifetime?

What changes have you seen come about in the world? Have they made your life better or worse?

Affordable PCs and internet has transformed our lives!

My boys looked amazed that I didn't have a computer in my household when I was growing up. If you include notebooks and iTablet we've got 6 for 4 people. Yes our household is a shocking internet nerd place.

The mullet went out of fashion - better.

Mobile phones mean I am contactable by work anywhere, anytime - worse.

Increased fanatical terrorism - worse.

I was born in 1951....look at the world since then and that's what's happened in my life...for better or worse.... I have fond memories of life when I think it was very simple....but I guess it's all relative !!

Being a Christian since I was 17, have always wondered about the amazing advances in God's kingdom also known as the Holy City, as my small addictions to watching TV programs or blu-ray movies on my large 50 inch plasma TV and Xbox 360 console videogames, or internet browsing on my netbook: that might give us some clue or hint that the Lord's kingdom must be light years in advance when thinking about how such a massive structure is able to hover from the universe - or hyperspace (word from Star Wars) - and land here on Earth in one piece when Jesus returns in the future to transform us believers into new minds and bodies of Christ, where health and youth like our perfect Jesus, will keep us young forever with none of the problems associated with memory failure caused by sin when it comes to learning education or the Word of God off by heart. There is not one bible verse of Jesus saying: "What's your name again?" so that means that when we receive our new minds of Christ we will never forget anyone's name, just like having a Wikipedia-capable intelligence.

Nothing is really built to last these days but I remember the day of the really old fridge and washing machine.

I used to have to go to the pinball arcade to play computer games but now I can do it all from the comfort of my own home and computer.

Indeed Humble Pie...I have amazing memories of the things my mother used to do to make things last....turning my dads colars, turning the bed sheets top and tail, making clothes out of scraps of material, amazing cleaning products from natural things...hard work, but things lasted.....we live, sadly in a throw away society. Not that I'm necessarily suggesting that we bring back the....good old days...but they were interesting times.

Every single change has been for the worse...

Acceptance of Gays(Marriage)...Worse

Divorce after marriage is ok...Worse

Materialism (iphones, ipads, etc...)...Worse.

Gluttony addiction to food, leading to obesity(in a world in which people die of hunger)...Worse

Tolerance (acceptance all religions, whatever makes you happy)...Worse

Pursue of Pleasure...(I don't remember seeing teenage mums)...Worse

Greed (World Economic Crisis)...Worse

Rise of false prophets and religions (Muslim, Buddhism, Scientology)...Worse

Reasoning killing faith, To believe is to see and to reason..., we need to all see to believe...You tube, media...Worse

Individualism, don't care what happens to other people as long I'm/We're Ok...Worse.

As you can see..., Most changes above are behavioral and moral changes...

As you can see..., Most changes above are behavioral and moral changes...

Most (not all) of those changes happened before you were born. You are just aware of the increasingly visible consequences of them.

Interesting that you see the rise and use of Youtube and on-line media etc as a bad thing rather than an opportunity. You have access to huge numbers of non-believers and the opportunity to tell them your message and you say that's worse?
