Stick around and get to know me. I am very capable of saying exactly what I want to say. I do not need you to add your own words to mine in a faulty interpretation.

No!!! I do not think that God desires for man to stay ignorant. But at the same time I do not believe that you can expect the people of the Bible to know things, that they would have no way of knowing, without God actually telling them. So now, if God were to start explaining the mysteries of the universe and life than where would he have stopped? Any intelligent person today knows that even with all knowledge that has been gained by scientific discoveries... we only know a fraction of what is to be known. Windows keep opening into another room of doors. God allows his children to learn and grow at their own pace. Most of us find this both an interesting and fulfilling way to gain knowledge. It would have been pretty boring otherwise.

Although, you must admit, God apparently did try to explain some stuff. Such as, say, how the Earth was created, hm?

And since the only way one makes evolution non-biblical is that literal translation...

And no, I think everyone here realises it was satire. Atleast I hope so.

It was brought up to point out that while creationists deny evolution because of some Bible verses that they interpret literaly, the accept the round earth inspite of verses that when literaly interpreted would state that the earth was flat.

It is exposing that kind of dualality in their beliefs that I think was the intent of the first posting.
