What actually prevents a person becoming Christian or convinces them to stop being Christian?

Galatians 5:19 When you follow the desires of your sinful nature, your lives will produce these evil results: sexual immorality, impure thoughts, eagerness for lustful pleasure,
20 idolatry, participation in demonic activities, hostility, quarreling, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambition, divisions, the feeling that everyone is wrong except those in your own little group,
21 envy, drunkenness, wild parties, and other kinds of sin. Let me tell you again, as I have before, that anyone living that sort of life will not inherit the Kingdom of God.
1 John 2:16 For all that is in the worldthe lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of lifeis not of the Father but is of the world.
17 And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever.
Re 21:8 But cowards who turn away from me, and unbelievers, and the corrupt, and murderers, and the immoral, and those who practice witchcraft, and idol worshipers, and all liarstheir doom is in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur. This is the second death."

Unfortunately, many things including lust, lost love, etc. Basic human emotions that overturn what our higher consciousness might think otherwise. And when we feel that God is no longer listening or blessing us or just keeping us safe, we would turn our backs on him.theotherguy said:
