NFL: Steelers first then Colts, Browns, Packers, Broncos, Cardinals, Texans. Not quite in that order.
MLB: Cubs all the way
NBA: Bulls, Warriors
NHL: I only watch real sports. :) Just kidding. Never been into hockey at all.
NCAA football: Buckeyes baby!
Golf: Used to be Tiger before...well, you know. I still root for him to get better both in golf and life but I can't support him right now. Mostly I like the new kids coming up.
Tennis: I don't have a fave with the new ones. I liked the old school ones like Connors, McEnroe, King, Everrit, Etc.

Hello. I'm from eastern Pennsylvania.
I'm a diehard fan of the Eagles and the Phillies.
I'm not a diehard fan but I hope that the Flyers and the Sixers do well - although the Sixers stink.
I don't follow college sports much, but maybe you do.

What teams do you root for?

Baseball: Texas Rangers (also follow the NY Mets my childhood team)---Baseball fanatic here and try to watch every Rangers game possible and when available Mets games too.)
Football: Dallas Cowboys-Follow closely
Hockey: Dallas Stars-Just started getting back into watching
Basketball: San Antonio Spurs-Only watch when the 'second season' begins, that is the playoffs :)

I also follow some college football and catch as many bowl games as possible. I watch college baseball whenever a game is on and nothing else is on TV. :)

I take my family to Rangers games at least once a year (3 hour drive, yikes), to their AAA Round Rock affiliate (much closer and go more often) and sometimes hit a college baseball game which is much better to follow at the stadium.

Of course being a baseball fanatic I coach my son's youth baseball teams since he was in Tee Ball league and now in Texas 12U league.

@Uncle Siggy and I also run here on CF a Texas Rangers 2016 thread for all those Rangers fans who might be interested.

I was thinking of setting up an MLB thread so all baseball fans could share posts and old baseball stories. If anyone is interested let me know and I will get it started.

God Bless

Baseball: Texas Rangers but end up going to Reds games since they are the closest to me...

Football: Used to be the Cowboys since early 70s but now could care less cause I'm totally tired of Jerry Jones, he needs to let his son take over since he seems to "understand" football more than his Dad...

Hockey: Dallas Stars since 1998, was there for both Cup runs talk about a fun time...

Basketball: Haven't watched a game since 1994 when I was in Cuba and the Rockets beat the Knicks...

I also love Ole Miss, Mississippi State, and West Virginia in NCAA football.

How could you love both Ole Miss and Mississippi State?

Probably the same way I can like both U.S.C. and U.C.L.A. but then I've actually known athletes in various sports at both schools, had family attend both schools and known professors in a social sense from both schools.

Just curious, I actually attended one of the schools he mentioned.

Honestly the West Coast seems a bit different than elsewhere. Minimal hate between schools. About 5 years ago a local human interest news story was about 3 football players who shared an apartment leading up to the USC/UCLA football game. 2 from one school one from the other. An extreme case of the usual, guy went to the same high school, went to the same football camps, go to the same gathering at the beach.

Back East guys seem to see each other once a year for the hate fest and then can forget it until next year. Here the game is actually much more important because you will go out for beers with the guys on both teams next week.

For the record my mom and dad met when he was taking a chemistry class at UCLA that she was the TA for. He was enrolled at USC at the time. He went on to get a professional degree in dentistry from USC.

Lot's of dislike between MSU and Ole Miss.

Well, there are levels of favoritism, the SEC is my second favorite NCAA conference. Here is my rankings:

1. USC
2. Stanford
3. UCLA
4. Ole Miss
5. West Virginia
6. Mississippi State

When Ole Miss and Mississippi State meet, I always root for the Rebs. But i.e. if USC meets any team it is naturally always USC (they're my favorite), likewise with Stanford. they meet any team I go Stanford unless they meet USC. Then it is always USC. Etc, etc, down the ranking order.

I am not emotionally invested in this innerstate rivalry per se, it is Florida; LSU; and Texas A&M in the SEC that I hate most.

I played baseball at MSU and my daughter goes to Ole Miss. Go figure.
