Once upon a time- this actually got air time on a mainstream rock station back in 1996. I fell in love with this group the first time I heard it. They were awesome.

I'm listening to "Third Eye" by Tool. Musically it is one of the most well-crafted, picture-painting pieces of music I've ever heard.


They opened up with it when I saw them in concert...I was beyond stoked. Amazing show, awesome visual production. And their precision was unlike any other band (or musician) I've ever seen.

Right now I'm listening to "Never Mind" by Infected Mushroom. I have mixed feelings about the group. I certainly wouldn't see them live again, and they've lost touch with their roots, but I can't seem to avoid some of their newer stuff either.

Right now I'm listening to "Never Mind" by Infected Mushroom. I have mixed feelings about the group. I certainly wouldn't see them live again, and they've lost touch with their roots, but I can't seem to avoid some of their newer stuff either.

Goa trance is a tough genre to find much in. Psy I had a little better luck with albeit only a little. Koyote had a pretty good record label (Hux Flux, Aeternum, etc), also I do remember seeing Lori Hi Fi Princess back at WEMF 2001 - seemed like she had her head on pretty straight when it came to the mood and ambience of things. Most other stuff, especially in the goa realm, gets too loopy/zany/cartoony and the second I'd think I found a tune I liked they'd completely spoil it with something awful.
