  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

What shows do you miss?

I forgot how much I love westerns.

I watched Gunsmoke on TBS (I think) and it was great.

I even like Young Riders.

They need to try a new western series.
At one time, there were so many good western on

Have Gun, Will Travel
Maverick
The Rebel
Wyatt Earp
Rawhide
Gunsmoke
Cheyenne

just to name a very, very few. I miss them, too.

I miss Under The Umbrella Tree.
When people ask me what my favourite show was as a young'un, and I tell them that, I get this "What on Earth are you talking about?" look! =(
Arrrgh...my brother used to watch that non-stop  It was cute, but very cheesy...like I remember the bluejay was Jacob...but I can't remember the other characters...

There was that woman that was syrupy enough she could be the next Aunt Jemimah :D

Anyway... I know what you are talking about :D

My brother used to watch Cow and Chicken too...gah...the cow's voice got on my nerves! It was a funny show though! Especially the mother and father!

I miss MacGyver, although they pretty much tapped that series out...the plots kinda got convoluted towards the end of the run...

Does anyone remember Today's Special that used to come on Nickelodeon in the early 80s? It was like the kiddie version of the movie Mannequin...

and Small Wonder...that show was so cheesy! But entertaining!

I really miss Match Game...that show was a riot...all the one liners and quips back and forth between the celebrities...
