I've seen that one of my all time favorite shows Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman is rerunning on the Hallmark channel and I got to thinking about all the shows I used to love when I was growing up.

What shows do you miss watching that have long since been cancelled and why did you like them?

Dr. Quinn - I've always been a sucker for westerns and romance so when you put the two together I loved it!

Friends - One of the few shows that always made me laugh.

Quantum Leap - I loved the characters and the stories.

Full House - Totally cheesy but loved it!

I'm sure I'll think of some more later.

My so called life, freaky links and x-files, i love sci fi shows when they are done interestingly.
Oh, I forgot about the X-Files. It took me a while to get into it but when I did I was hooked! And I usually can't stand sci-fi shows.

Goin' waaaaaaaay back for this one, but T.H.E. CAT starring Robert Loggia as a reformed cat burglar helping the side of justice in the smokey underworld of the late 60s NYC jazz scene. What kind of a show was it? If Miles Davis played Batman without the funky threads, that's what kinda show it was.

This was a good show! It ran from Sept '66 to March '67. Do you remember the intro?

"Out of the night comes a man who saves lives at the risk of his own. Once a circus performer; an aerialist who refused the net. Once a cat burglar; a master among jewel thieves. And now, a professional bodyguard. Primitive, savage, in love with danger-- The Cat."

.Why can't they put T.H.E. CAT on DVD, that's what I wanna know...

Most likely not enough interest. I don't believe that it has been shown since it left NBC. Before it would be release on DVD, they might test it on some cable network. TRIO does run old series like this-usually at 8pm weeknights. This is where I can sometime catch an episode of "Kolchak: The Night Stalker."

Cheers is another one we used to watch without fail. I'd forgotten how many shows I used to love!
