Okay so here's the scoop, I hate what the situation is but here it is:
I have a younger sister, she is 15, and she keeps an online diary. She told me about it and told me that I could read it, but she told me about half of a year ago. It's not so much a diary but more of her just giving updates to her friends, since they all apparently read it all the time as well. (screwed up situation, as you see). I just remembered she had it, and went in which I shouldn't have done without asking her if I could do that again since she didn't know a family member would be reading it.
To cut things short, she is going to be having sex with her boyfriend on newyears eve and not only that, but she's going to some house party that someone she doesn't know is holding (a friend's older brother or something) and she's already talking about how wasted she's going to get.

WHAT DO I DO!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? Because if I tell her I read it, she MAY get mad. But then again, she gave me permission to read the diary 6 months ago ... should I tell her dad? Or, should I let her act on her own??? Both options have their major downfalls...

Really who is the major downfall for? You? So what. You need to tell her that you read it and dont' think it's a good idea what's she's doing. If she says so what and gets mad(which she probably will) you need to go and tell her dad. Who knows what could happen at this party. You first priority is your sister. 15 is way to young to be having sex let alone drinking. Plus their could be drugs at the party. Can you imagine the feelings you'll have if you do nothing and something happens?
If worse comes to worse and she goes anyway find out where it is and call the cops and tell them their is underage kids at the party drinking.

Laurah_lynn,
I sorry you are in this situation I was in a simular not quite so serious one with my younger sister. She is homeschooled and was cheating on all of her subjects, anyway I found out. I went to my sister first I told her if she stopped I wouldn't tell but if she continued I would let Mon know. She stopped and everyday she brought her work to me and I made sure that she wasn't cheating.
You should let your sister know what you found, she may not be happy but she will be relieved to see that you havn't told her Dad. Then you should offer her a choice to hang with you new years eve. Then most importantly let her know that you only want her to do better, and, make her check in with you often.
