i'm kinda obligated. theres is woman at my church, and she wants me to tell her wat i want, she thinks its material stuff, when it really isn't. it's pretty much prayrs for everyone else. and i don't really kno how to take it. she loves me, and i love her back. but it kinda feels like....like a spiritual adoption or something. it's strange, i just don't kno want to do.

If I understand this right - it is a service to let others serve you... if that makes sense? Our lives are made meaningful if we can help others - even if you don't really need help - just let them help you anyways, say thank you to them - you will make their day, they will feel needed, loved, and special from it

I agree. Try your best not to offend her. People feel better when they can help another fellow Christian out. Maybe if there is something that a friend of yours needs, then you can talk to her about that and say that is what is needed. The Lord will lead you.

I had a Spiritual Mother who sort of took me in and taught me about the Lord. She didn't give me material things but she was there for me. This lady probably has a need to feel needed and wanted. If she wants to bless you allow it. Thank her and show her love. She'll be totally blessed. Love Lady Marion

Dear Jesus please give wisdom and understanding and discernment to this young lady. Help her to know just what to say and do. Bless her and watch over her. Don't let anyone use or abuse her youth in Jesus Name Amen.

TrinityFrEak- I asked my 11 yr old daugher for help with this one, her name is Christina.

She said you should let her know that you dont want anything in particular, but you would love to have her prayers for yourself and your family.

Personally, I like to buy things for my 17yr old daughter Susanna's bf. I have bought him a Gamecube and backpack for school, and new Nikes, and Naruto DVDs etc. I enjoy buying things for him because it is my way of saying we like you in our "family" and we want you to know it. I think it would be really nice, if you think of something you'd like for Christmas, or birthday, that you might mention this to her. It will help her feel closer to you and that she can express her love to you.

I had a lady who 'spiritually adopted' me at 19yrs old. She was an elderly woman who was very holy and religious and she had been a missionary to china nad never married. She let me live at her home and made meals and stayed a few months til I found a place. She read me the Bible each day and made me mugs of hot tea (Russian Tea made with Tang and lemonade, served piping hot!) She told me that the New International Version is the best Bible, and I have had one ever since. Those memories with Dottie are very good and pleasant, as she cared for me and wanted me to love the Lord and grow in my knowledge of the Lord, by reading the Word of God, as I was not raised in a Christian home.

TrinityfrEak- I would ask her for a new Bible for Christmas, I would ask for a New International Version and tell her the missionary lady, Dorothy Huff, recommended it, and she was a missionary to China, and a very kind and loving lady, indeed.
