Mythology is essentially a belief that is no longer believed. When we think of classic examples, most first jump to the Greek and Roman gods. However, at one point these stories were taken as absolute truth. Over time they've diminished into mythology. What then separates religion and mythology? Is it just the number of believers? That doesn't seem like a very methodological way of classification. Not to mention that if a Christian believes in the Christian God, all other current religion become myths to them, since they are false beliefs and therefore just stories. I guess it just seems to me like an imaginary line drawn in the sand. Would the only thing keeping Christianity from being called a myth in your eyes be your belief in it?
