After a few years of relative indecision, I'm deciding to change my major to an English one. Basically, this particular major (not just called English, but from that department) studies the elements that go into an effective story, and I am taking various classes that will examine literature, pop culture, and the arts in general looking for these details. At one point, I was seriously considering history, and even archaeology. However, as much as I love researching history and archaeology, I don't find it within myself to commit to these degrees anymore. Another aspect is that one of the classes put me off for being particularly difficult; I ended up auditing Introduction to Archaeology instead of actually taking it to pass for that major.
