With self publishing also comes the task of marketing your own book, so I want to know what methods have you tried and which worked for all of you out there trying to sell your book..

I haven't tried to sell a book, but I've noticed a lot of creative people who publicize and/or sell their books or artwork on blogs. You could post some info about your book, post some excerpts, answer questions through the comment feature.

I'm in the same boat as you. The unfortunate part of marketing, either self-published or published, working the Internet is key. I have a blog, Twitter account, Facebook, and just recently embarked on discussion boards.

The key is finding the target market and marketing your book to that market. This is a business, so any costs associated with marketing must be maintained.

Through time and tireless work, people will begin to see your work. Providing free material via bit torrents is another route I am exploring now.
