What makes Man different from God?

We can hear and see. God can hear and see. With limits of coarse.
There aren't many similarities i can think of only differences.
God seems to be a perfect being but humans can never be..
In what way are we like him THEN!

In my understanding, man and God are very much alike. Genesis 1 says He made us in His own image and likeness. We are patterned after Him. In the OT He pictures Himself as having the gamut of our emotions: anger, love, regret, jealousy, mercy, sense of justice, etc. And in the person of Christ, we plainly see these things in action. Jesus weeps at the death of Lazarus and the coming fate of Jerusalem, stands up in anger to the Pharisees, etc. These are things we can relate to.

But there are two huge differences between us and Him. First, He in infinite and self-existent, while we are finite and created. He is on a scale we cannot comprehend. Second, we are fallen, having inherited Adam's sin nature. Thus the qualities of God in us are broken and obscured. But we still have a spirit and a conscience and can respond to God.

God is so far above and beyond man that there is little comparison, except that God made man in SOME degree in His image ---that is with a creative mind and mental faculties; feelings and emotions; memories; conscience; etc. These are shown and demonstrated in His Word. God always was (which we cannot comprehend) and that is what He said; and His Name is that: "I AM", and "Jehovah" (ever self existing one).

God is not limited like man, but we are privileged to know the Creator-God. As to why we are as we are, remember what God said: He desired to have children, who would learn to love and honor Him, which Angels do not need to learn, for they are created to obey, serve, and live for God. We are not robots, but are given liberty to choose, and hopefully will choose God as our eternal Father; and know that the price of change from self-indulgent children to faithful "children of God" as He wants, is already provided through His "...beloved Son" ---the Lord Jesus, the Christ of God (note John 14). We need to come to the Lord Jesus in faith to have any part in God. We truly have a great and magnificent God (if we will bow to Him and get acquainted).

This is an odd thing to say about God. God has no limits - at least, not in the area of His capacity to perceive things. I'd say God hears and sees far better than any of us humans. Far, far better.

Well, we can discern right from wrong like God does; we can anticipate future events like God does; like God, we can appreciate beauty, and justice, and logic; we can can see the humor in things, and delight in music, art and dance; we have the capacity to love, and hate, to be merciful and to be destructive. Of course, God is much, much higher and greater than we are, but we do have some things in common with Him. We are made in His image, after all. It's what makes you so very, very precious.

Not at all! If God is truly God, then He is everywhere present in His Creation. There is no where you can be that He is not. And He desires to have a relationship with you! He wants you to know Him and to enjoy close fellowship with Him! Yes, He is very mysterious. That's just part of Him being God. But that's not all He is. The things we need to know in order to know and love Him, He has shared with us. I think that's pretty cool. Don't you?

No, I think the idea of being His friend is incredible! Being a friend of the God of the Universe? Really? How could that not be the most amazing thing ever?!

Here's something to ponder: Why does God command us to behave as He does? Why does He give us commandments to obey? If you think this through carefully, you will begin to see God more clearly.

Well (i imagine), that we both have imagination. Though when I imagine things, they stay in my head and don't change the universe, they really only change me. I also think that, quite often, we are both misunderstood. We both have a sense of 'Self' I think, God is not a Force or something impersonal. We both can express creativity... but think about it yourself for a while and maybe pray and ask, you may find your own points of contact with God.

Here's something to ponder: Why does God command us to behave as He does? Why does He give us commandments to obey? If you think this through carefully, you will begin to see God more clearly.

Um, He talks to me every time I care to listen! Especially when I crack open my Bible and read it. God's got something to say me in every page of Scripture - if I will only pay attention.

You know, God is a Spirit, the Bible says, so I can't interact with Him just like I do another human being. But we do interact, nonetheless. His Spirit convicts me of sin, illuminates my mind to God's truth, encourages me when I'm down, strengthens me when I'm weak, and so on. He will do the same with you - if you let Him.

Thing is though, animals also have thoughts, emotions, memories, souls, etc.

Animals that God created have some creature qualities, but I don't know of any reference to a soul. God created man in Genesis and said: "...man became a living soul". He only created animals with survival brains, I see ---right? Animals are not like man for sure. Animals can adapt, but I don't see that they are creative as man.

Our subject here is about difference between man and God ---right? We surely don't want to add to the Bible.
