So have you thought about your Shower water, Washing Machine? Big W sells a 10mtr black hose which fits perfect on most Washing Machines outlet, just let it run out on the Grass.I don't know what level it is, but we can only use sprinklers or automatic watering systems once per week. Hand held hoses or buckets can be used any day, but only before 8am or after 8pm.
I watered part of my lawn last night for the first time in about a month. And it's been hot here. Poor lawn is dying. Not cos it needs water more than once a week - the restrictions are fine IMO. It's just that I keep forgetting - and or I am not home saturday night which is our night to water.
Poor lawn needs a new owner
The once a week rule was upgraded from "every second day" because people wound up watering more once the lower level restrictions came in. It was like everyone ran around going "quick, it's Tuesday, we'd better water" even though previously they wouldn't do it that much. Very frustrating. I don't think I need to water more than once a week to keep everything ticking over in summer. But, it sure would be nice to not be restricted in which day that is, esp on a weekend.
Going free, lawn to a good owner. Only problem is the house doesn't go with it

yeah it sucks... we need ALOT of rain.... doesnt help that the government knew about the problem along time ago yet did nothing... and are just starting to do something when its nearly too late.... and if the new system actually works is still yet to be seen...Level 4 here in Brisbane, soon to be Level 5 starting on the 10th April (unless we have *heaps* of rain before then!)
And what is your suggestion the NSW Government can do? Pull Water out of their sleeves?Level 3 in Sydney - though I think people are gradually ignoring them as they see the NSW goverment sitting on its hands and doing nothing.
Guy down the road was hosing his car out the front the other day, and the response of people in the street was![]()
Well that's why the NSW Government will build a Dam for you near Dungog, but Mr. Debenham is against.Level 4, although I hear that it could change to level 5 v soon. Central Coast NSW
Its not only Brisbane, Towoomba is also in big Trouble. I think that Mr.Batty with his Idea to connect the North Queensland Rivers with South is very good. I mean if Qld. NSW. got together financial it could be done. There is always plenty Water in the North. This could go right down to the Darling.yeah it sucks... we need ALOT of rain.... doesnt help that the government knew about the problem along time ago yet did nothing... and are just starting to do something when its nearly too late.... and if the new system actually works is still yet to be seen...
ahwell try to keep my showers as short as possible (being a mechanic its hard to have a short shower and get clean... but ohwell) just keep praying for more rain at the dams, we need it desperately..
