Oh, so out of 47 versions they all came from the same manuscript. You must think I'm an idiot.
He really doesn't.

It's more akin to putting two Christian theologians in a televised room with one thinking the other isn't' as learned in the translation and interpretation of available manuscripts. Even to the point of undermining via exaggeration.

Out of the 30+ Biblehub translations only four insert kings in place of kingdom. Two are supposedly literal ;) translations (Young's Literal Translation and Literal Standard Version) with the other two KJB and NKJV.

Out of 60+ Bible Gateway translations even the paraphrased MSG chose not substitute kings for kingdom ...

Who made us a Kingdom, Priests for His Father, forever - (- I chose to Capitalized his in MSG translation).
Whether Kingdom and Priests should be Capitalized is ?? when his wasn't capitalized. FWIW the majority of translations do not capitalize kingdom and priests in Rev 1:6.

The point is that the meaning isn't changed by saying kings and priests, kingdom of priests, or kingly priests. It's all one and the same.

And now we are back to square one: "priest, chief priest, High Priest, it's all the same", "king, kingly, kingdom, it's all the same", and when you try to correct people on such things, they claim they did not say what they clearly were teaching and label you as being full of pride for bringing up the fallacy in their reasoning.

Nice chatting, have a nice thread.

OK. I didn't agree with your high priest bit either.

Well said, and there are manifold examples of this. Someone said to me previously in this thread, something to the effect that, Are we not made to be kings and priests? But this is a KJV, (Textus Receptus), reading that is not confirmed anywhere else in the scripture. But what can you say to one who believes he or she has no need to at least look into the original languages?

Revelation 1:6 KJV
6 And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

Revelation 1:6 HNV
6 and he made us to be a Kingdom, Kohanim to his God and Father; to him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amein.

The HNV is confirmed in 1Peter 2:9, Exodus 19:5-6, and the LXX version of Exodus 23:22. The KJV is confirmed nowhere, moreover, claiming to be a king is likely even worse than when Yisrael desired to have a king set over them, (1Samuel 8).

What is this slightly off topic disagreement about; seems to be semantics. When the Bible says kingdom, to what does it refer? Is kingdom not a people, a King and a system of government.

I see the point you are making that men (translators/interpreters) elevate themselves and not the Kingdom. Is it possible that the translators reject kingdom because it infers the Law of God, which they choose to abrogate.

With regard to Hebrews chapters 7 – 10, does Paul suggest the Laws or some Law are changed, or is it the translators? If Paul, does he say the Law has evolved to fruition or discarded and replaced; What I read is diabolically opposed to God and His plan.

As I stated near the beginning of my postings herein: I believe the whole Torah has been transformed and translated by way of the all-important Testimony of the Meshiah in the Gospel accounts. That's what the author of Hebrews is teaching, which is why he employs the same two words in Hebrews 7:12 as he employs for Henok in Hebrews 11:5, (metatithemi and metathesis).

One Kingdom under GOD, not kingdoms or kings as it has been for centuries on earth.
Is it possible that the translators reject kingdom because it infers the Law of God, which they choose to abrogate.
Perhaps, they felt obligated in terms of "kings" and priests on earth at that time having been commissioned by King James ...
"And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen."
(KJV)
There are several English translations from the original Greek that are more accurate than the KJV ...
"and He has made us to be a kingdom, priests to His God and Father—to Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen."
(NASB)
With regard to Hebrews chapters 7 – 10, does Paul suggest the Laws or some Law are changed, or is it the translators?
... "an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth" ... was the law of fallen mankind; whereas Luke 6:27-36 is God's Instruction/Law. The Law/Instruction of Deuteronomy 6:5 and Mark 12:30-31 is [apparently] only Fruitful when God writes His Law/Instruction on our hearts.

Paul is reminding us of God's original Instruction (Law) that was in desperate need of a spiritual renewal with the Ten Commandments taking second place to all the trees (613 Jewish 'mitzvah') thanks in no small measure to the Sadducees, Pharisees, scribes and elders.

The Hebrew Shavuot (Pentecost) commemorates one of the most important events in Israel’s history: The Ten Commandments to Moses on Mount Sinai. The following Instructions definitely encompasses the essence of God's Lawful Instructions at the 1st Pentecost on Mt. Sinai ...

7 And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. 8 And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. 9 And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.
10 And it shall be, when the LORD thy God shall have brought thee into the land which he sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give thee great and goodly cities, which thou buildedst not, 11 And houses full of all good things, which thou filledst not, and wells digged, which thou diggedst not, vineyards and olive trees, which thou plantedst not; when thou shalt have eaten and be full; 12 then beware, lest you forget the LORD who brought you out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage.

It is true the Pharisees practised an eye for an eye, tooth for tooth, but I am not aware of any Biblical Law to that effect. There is a hypothetical using those words (if such and such happened, then this is the nature of the judgement) telling how Judges would judge; since Christ, or during this time when gentiles are treading the sanctuary of God underfoot, Dan 8:13,14, it is Satan's judges who do it.

Pentecost is one of seven of God's feasts; all are equally important and still current, and understanding should be derived from Keeping them.
