I was chatting with my mom today and she was sharing about the Community Harvest they did this past Saturday. A farmer plants potatoes in his field and every Oct the community churches come together and harvest it for donation to food banks. This year they harvested 18,000lbs (8,181 Kgs)
SO, what kinds of interesting ministries does your church have?
My home church has a Wood Ministry...we cut and chop wood and give it to needy families so they can heat their homes in the winter. We deliver it and stack it for them.
We have a food cupboard. People can come and get food, diapers, vouchers for free milk and produce at the local grocery store.
We have a monthly soup kitchen.
We have a Men's Ministry that reaches out to widows and single parents who need odd jobs done around the house.
We have a community outdoor ice rink.
plus many more...
