Uh huh, OR...I have been in a CD buying blitz so far this year, and my CD collection reflects the different styles of music you guys all like (well, maybe not quite as much of Phish, but soon, Bill...:p )
I get that way when exposed to new music by folks around me, I have been in a country buying spree for the last couple of months......

there are 2 odd things about this , I didn't like Stryper much , but I am willing to have another listen now

and the second thing is I have no idea where I bought this album......I have No recollection whatsoever about me buying it , or why I bought it......I was just going through some Christian cds a couple of Sundays ago , and there it was , I put i on and the tunes kinda sneeked up on me.........The guy has real class........He even ends the album with the best song , something alot of artists don't do..........they usually try and cram the best song in at the beginning!

This album is my Fav album at present.I am so happy to have "found" it......I might even e-mail Michael :D

I can identify with much of you, having been at various times a Rush-head and Kansas fan. In an altogether different vein, one of my all-time favs in the last decade is They Might Be Giants.

However, my current listen-to-over-and-over songs, which I'd be surprised if anyone has heard of, are "The Oranges" by Brian Woodbury, and "The Green Shade", by Elma Mayer. There are MP3's of both at www dot somephil dot com. Much of it is the music there is too weird for me, and some is rather offensive, but these two songs are clean and great!! I actually got a copy of the piano chart to "The Green Shade" and love to noodle at it when I get the chance.

Track: "Gumbo", Jimmy Buffett (not to be confused with his other "gumbo" song, "I Will Play for Gumbo")

Album: "Lucky Day", Jonathan Edwards

Mine this week is Pet Sounds by The Beach Boys. This is a perfect album.

It's one of the few albums Paul McCartney was dumb struck by.

It holds up really well after a long time.A sign of a real classic album.

And yes Brian Wilson is the Genius who wrote and produced it all,I think he did nearly all if not all of the instruments...

This album cannot be enjoyed too much. I am listening to it on both the original mono, and Stereo mix.;)

No one is educated musically until they've heared "Pet Sounds"....it is a total classic record that is unbeatable in many ways" Sir Paul McCartney

"Without Pet Sounds,Sgt Pepper wouldn't have happened....Pepper was an attempt to equal Pet Sounds" Sir George Martin.Producer,The Beatles.

"Pet Sounds" is great. We got to see Brian Wilson do the entire album live last year.

Yes, Paul McCartney was overwhelmed by the album. So much so that he flew all the way from London to L.A. to talk to Brian about it.

Unfortunately for Paul, Brian was so freaked out, he hid in a tool shed and it took Paul and Brian's wife three hours to talk him out.

a small tip 12volt_man , if you want to quote someone use wrap quote tags (top right button) it makes it so much easier to read........Cheers
