Well, I don't like rap at all, so I don't think him a talented performer. However, he does have good composing skills with his lyrics. That's it, though.

my personal take on eminem is that he is a genius lyricist he just has his heart in the wrong place. imagine he focused his writing abilities on the glory of god and christianity. we need a christian rapper of his caliber.

He is a good person. He has a daughter and he is a loving father as he has proven time and time again. Rap is just...his outlet. Better lyrically than physically, right?

My girlfriend actually met him before he became famous. She lives up near 8 mile and he was like a pizza delivery boy and delivered pizza to her house once.

Somewhere between the former and the latter; his rhyming is nothing impressive these days (in comparison to the rappers coming out of Cali these days), and he is very overrated, in my opinion .

you might need to go to the opinion doctor . eminems lyrics are currently unmatched by any signed artist. as far as unsigned artist there are plenty who are on his level and can flow or spit at his caliber but his wit and charm really add some spice to his music. one of my favorite rappers right now actually is a kid who calls himself franco straight out of humboldt county california. he's a battle rapper and a song writer also. the kid is simply incredible.

Franco is very nice; have you heard of Ex-I? He is also very good. I guess I just don't find Eminem particular charming or witty, or his music spicy, though .

ex-i is an amazing battle emcee. his music is sick too! i actually was just listening to a song him and okwerdz did. i feel that "no can do" kid is highly over rated. swarm shogun is sick though. oruku saki is nice. who else do i know out in the california scene?

brillian artist , however some of the things he sings about i am not so thrilled. I do enjoy some of his popular songs that made it to radio and i am not much into rap.

No way ; NoCanDo is easily the nicest thing to come out of Cali in my opinion (if Illmaculate came out of Cali, he's very good also). I don't like any of the Tight Rope Walkers except for Fredo; Swarm Shogun and Drake are just annoying to listen to.

it's funny you mention illmaculate. i'm listening to the scribble jam battle he has against swann. boy he tore that man to pieces. fredo i can not stand for the life of me. swarm shogun is amazing! did you ever see the battle:

swarm shogun/fredo vs ex-i/okwerdz...

swarm shogun pretty much won the battle single handedly...

If I remember (which I think I do vaguely), the crowd was very one sided. "What the... they're saying we look like 20 different people?" was the truth- they were using so many you-look-lines, which can be alright, but Okwerdz and Ex-i didn't look like any of them; they were just coming up with names of random white people.

yeah, they did go overboard. that i will not deny. but the chris farley/david spade line had me DYING. it was simply incredible i tell you. swarm is a beast.

How can you not stand Fredo. And I was very suprised at the SJ result last year; I swore for so long that Swann would eat everybody... oh well .
