If I'm in a bad mood, I usually don't want to be made happy. I want to wallow and brood and fester, so I'm more likely to listen to something dark and crabby lol.

I do that as well. Just once in awhile, my list can get me through a busy day at work and such. I should have mentioned I don't listen to them...I sing them at work.

Imagine this flaming straight guy singing Boy George. I don't care how gloomy of a mood you are in, you are going to laugh. Or sing Touch Myself by Divinyls. I also do it because people at work can be really negative so I do it to give a some brevity and lightheartedness to the day. I swear when I get my orders done that I work on, one of these days I'm going to be dancing like Farv did on the field to Vanilla Ice.

I have a separate list of the songs that I listen to when I am pensive...like I am currently.

I'm weird. I listen to what some might call sad or angry music and it makes me happy. Likee.. anything Coldplay makes me happy. Or Linkin Park. Oh, Pink Floyd always makes me happy. Pink Floyd's High Hopes = Happiness.

I do the same thing, and it makes me happy also. Though I prefer Alter Bridge or System Of A Down when it comes to more recent music.

Oh, and BTW "High Hopes" is epic.
