Calpurnia and Dinah Talytha

I love the name Calpurnia - I also loved the character in "To Kill a Mockingbird."

I think I'll stash that name away for when I adopt my next girl kitty.

My cat's name is Khleo - named for Khleo Thomas, the kid who played Zero in the movie "Holes." My daughter's idea. She had a crush on him. :)

Mine is Trouble.

I firmly believe that an animal finds his own name, you just have to watch and listen. When Trouble made his way into our home as a stray, we weren't allowed to have pets. We went to alot of, well, trouble, to hide him away from our landlord.

He really isn't any trouble now. He is my first child. ;)

My buddy is a mostly-white boy named Chowder. His sister (littermate) is a tortoise-shell girl named Mercedes. Then I also have a couple of strays that I took in. Another tortoise-shell girl named Stash (short for moustache, which she looks like she has), and a little tabby girl named Squirt. :)

That's exactly who I named my cat after...Cala was given to me just after my kitten died. My kitten's name was Scout. :)

A white stray, call her Sugar, had 2 solid black males, Poo Bear and Care Bear; and two pure white females, Rascal and Mindy.

My nieces found a kitten cowering in the middle of a busy street and could not keep her. She was starving and had her whiskers all cut off. Now she is fluffy, fat, and fascinating... Rosy.

Then there is Katie, black long hair, Buddy who is a tabby, and Ruskie, who is a silver Russian Blue. All great bunch of characters.

:sigh:

Ours is Shimo, it means "frost" in Japanese b/c she's grey. We captured a cat in our bushes a few years ago, but we had to get rid of her b/c my mom's allergic. For some reason my mom doesn't react to Shimo though... That's good, my sister has had very bad luck with pets and we decided to get her a resilient pet like a cat. We already have a dog, a bunny, and a lizard, and I love them all!
