Was raised going to church. Saved at fifteen, but was not easy to get that done, as had been talking to God about how beautiful things were that He made, since the time I was a child. Felt as if now that go around telling people that I was not a Christian then, that it would make all of that time seem phony. Had even refused to agree with evolution that had been taught at school. Stood up, spoke against it -right in class. The teacher decided that since I would not put down those theories on papers and such that she would let me write that it is a lie. Asked her if I could add Bible verses with it and how God created everything -she said, yes. So, that ended me standing up in class. When the teacher first started that lesson of lies. I waited, then went to her at her desk to tell her what she had just told us was not the truth. Told her that God created everything. She said that is a theory. Told her, it is a fact. Told her that if she tries to teach those lies again, then I will stand up in class and talk about the Bible. She did, and I did. Others were sitting there from my church, so figured that they would join me. None did, but in the hallway -then they would tell me that they agreed with me.
Would have several other opportunities to later witness to that teacher during high school. The other students had not forgotten the situation, so when we had to go about selling items for school activities or scouts or such - they made sure I had her area. They would even watch from back aways to see what happened.

I've never known anyone who has experienced such things and you can imagine how unique your stories are to many of us. If I would have tried to stand up to evolution in my public school system I would have been dismissed. It's simply not tolerated here in the United States, not in the public schools.

Anyway, I'm not sure where you are from but hearing God like you can is extremely rare I would think. Or, is it is that your faith is so strong it is normal for you? That's the question.

Quiet, face-in-the crowd council, laborer, grill man, handy man, snow plow, wrench turner, etc.

A lot of people feel called to sing, prophesy and preach. Doesn't leave many to maintain the house, pay the bills, keep the lights on, take weight off the pastor and attend to widows. That's my joy.
