  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Only need an eleventh one...two is enough.

Matthew 22:36-40 (NIV)

36 “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?”
37 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

Thou shalt laugh

This was actually one of my top 3.

We all know the Commandments and how they're rolled into two. The question isn't about God's Commandments. It's about something YOU believe, treasure, and honor that you hold dear in your personal life. I think bringing in God's Commandments is a cop out of not answering the question...sorry but I do...

Oh okay...so I was partially right but I don't see why a Commandment would be frustrating...so maybe I missed the point...oh well...
Not a Commandment being frustrating but what human choice might need a bit more defined term of right and wrong.

Oh if Ida known that was where you were going with this question I'd of stayed away. I think people have a tendency to make most things related to God harder than they are. So I'm gonna bow out here me thinks...

I'm with black ... only two, love God and love people.

1. Do no harm to others or self
2. Do good to others and self
3. Keep the mind pure

Just 3 rules and I'm struggling right now with the implementation.

One thing I found is 2 must not override 1 because the doing good is often illusory while the doing harm often isn't.

I used to want to purify my mind but have found what I say is what I think so I just need to control what I say.

And no news in fact personally I have no TV and no newspapers because neither seems to inspire to good thinking.

Thou shall actually THINK and use the brains God gave you.

I guess that is another, a commandment not to hold false beliefs. Impossible to be sure of but nonetheless an aim to strive for.
