Everything we see and feel is created by God and continues to exist because of God. Without God they would become nothing. On the other hand, God, who is love exist on His own accord; and is eternal. Therefore, love is the only reality or truth. The world makes us believe that material things and self-interest will bring us happiness and security. This is a lie; because they are devoid of love. That is why we lose peace when we pursue our own interest and material goods. The world has even corrupted the meaning of the word, love by equating it with affinity or desire. However, love is not a feeling. It is the spirit of surrender, sacrifice, forgiveness and service. This love is revealed to us in Jesus, who emptied His life for us, so that we (who betrayed Him and were unfaithful to Him) may have life. It is this love that will bring us peace and joy, because when we exercise this love we will be true to what we are created for.

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Great topic the same question Pilate asked of Jesus. Let us look to the words of Jesus and let his Spirit impart His truth that by it we may be sanctified or set apart.

What is TRUTH?...
The truth is that the moneychanger empire still exists and that the strong delusion has been in effect since Antioch.
"because they refused to love the truth AND SO BE SAVED" (2 Thessalonians 2:10).
The "inner sense" ("anointing",...Godly common sense) will teach us the REAL truth about God ("DEPTHS of God", 1 Corinthians 2:10). The trouble is that humanity never preferred the objective truth about anything (humanity's preference is for SUBJECTIVE truth...biased/chosen truth).
　
There was no actual/true OBJECTIVE reason that Jesus should have been sentenced to crucifixion (officially declared INNOCENT by Pilate and Caesar), but since the people rioted and insisted that Barrabas be set free, Jesus was officially given the death sentence (Jesus died because of that SUBJECTIVITY).
　
It has always been the same with what we are taught. We have always been taught BIASED/subjective truth, not the objective truth about God ("STRONG delusion").....God had Pilate ask "What is TRUTH?" so we might ponder the significance of TRUTH (John 18:38, 2 Thessalonians 2:10).
　
Babes in Christ (1 Corinthians 3:1) must be trained (2 Timothy 3:16) in the "doctrine of Christ" (Hebrews 6:1), but then we must move on to have a MATURE devotion/relationship (love devotion) and no longer be "fed" with the "milk" of devotion, but be fed with "solid food"...

"But solid food is for the MATURE...".
　
...then we can learn to discern PROPERLY between GOOD and EVIL (the knowledge gained in the Garden of Eden) the way a Godly person should...

O Perfect Love...this is our Saviour Jesus. Without Love, we are doomed, but He has loved us first, while we were still sinners. How perfect that love is. Alleluia! Praise the Lord!

I like your post a lot. Thank you for making it. I highlighted the part I want to respond to the most. I have spent most of my life trying to please people, trying to be what people think I should, buying the clothes, the things, going out, being where everything is happening, taking the self-help classes, reading the books, doing the self-servicing emoting "you are worthy. you are good.", bleh. It got me a lot of crappy life experiences, that's what it got me. It got me a life devoid of joy, and an empty heart that ached for TRUE friends who cared about me, and not what I had or what I could do for them. It was a hard lesson learned, but wow am I thankful for it, and so full of joy to be out of it.
Jesus has become my ALL, my source of everything I love, my daily joy, just my everything. He's the love of my life, and the love of my forever. Because I learned to let go of self, and love Him, accept his sacrifice for me, I have been able to release pain, sorrow, and a past that was full of mistakes. It is SUCH a great feeling to be free from that huge burden. That burden of having to measure up, and keep up, with everyone else, or maintain who they thought I was/should be. I only have to live for the Lord now and it's AWESOME!
