What is the sort of wine - or the sorts of wine - that you like most?

In other words: You do not drink anything?
Or you are of the insulting opinion, that everybody who likes wine is a "drinker" = an alcoholic?
My mother died an alcoholic when I was a child. As a motherless child, I vowed never to drink. I hope that does not offend you. But it is the truth.

With me the answer changes.
Right now I like rosé wines best.
A peppery Shiraz.

A peppery Shiraz.
Shiraz I like as well.
But it is rare in our region.

Here it is mostly:

Red: Spätburgunder = Pinot Noir, Trollinger etc ....
White: Riesling, Gewürztraminer etc ....

Alcohol is good for disinfection, it may help with some very specific stomach problems.

Other than that, it acts as a poison in our body. So, regular drinking is a no-no. If we are talking about some twice a year celebration, then bio red sweet wine from Greece, Australia, California or Spain are my preference.

To that I answer with an old wisdom:

"All things are poison, and nothing is without poison!
Only the quantity makes that a thing is not poisonous."

Sure, even water can be a poison if you will drink too much.

But alcohol is poisonous in our body in any quantity. Thats why it really is a standard poison. I will repeat again that its a highly effective disinfectant. It kills almost anything.

Alcohol may also have beneficial effects.

But - let's not quarrel - let's talk about wine.

As Jesus also liked wine, it cannot be all that bad.
If you drink a small amount of wine few times a year, your body can regenerate like Wolverine from the damage done, if you otherwise live and eat healthy, do regular fasts etc.

If you drink it regularly, your body cannot regenerate and is going down. Jesus drank it only few times, as a part of significant events.

There comes a time when all this said and done.
No use to go on arguing for all eternity.

I have opened this thread with the topic: "Which wine do you like?"
Not with the topic: "How terribly terrible is wine?"
Sorry about that.

Somebody else may open another thread with that topic: "How terribly terrible is wine?"

I come from a non-drinking family and I've never tasted wine in my life, and I'm not about to do it now.

In the Bible I think in Proverbs it discourages people from drinking.

Pro 23:31 Look not thou upon the wine when it is red, when it giveth his colour in the cup, when it moveth itself aright.

My parents were of the belief that you can't be a true Christian and drink at the same time. That's what the world does and we are not to follow the world, we are to be holy in all things.
