What is "The Rosary"?

Hello,
It sounds as if you already have a good idea of what the Rosary is. The Rosary is a devotional that consists of reciting the Hail Mary, the Our Father, and the Gloria while progressing in meditation on the life of our Lord and of Mary.
For those who would want to know, the Hail Mary conists of two parts.
1. Praise.
2. Petition.
The first part is taken from Scripture: "Hail full of grace. The Lord is with thee." Luke 1:28, "Blessed art thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb." Luke 1:42.
The second part is petitioning the Blessed Mother to pray for us. "Holy Mary Mother of God pray for us sinners now, and at the hour of our death. Amen."
I'm sure you all know the Our Father, and the Gloria is thus "Glory be to the Father and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen"
I also would like to add that the Rosary is not an exclusively "Catholic" devotion, but can be said by all.
