What is the quality of your relationship with Jesus (Part 3)?
Finalizing the previous message:
And as Shulamite desired to bring her beloved until the chamber of her mother, we can’t think in having Jesus only for us (we aren’t His lovers, but His bride). We need to bring Jesus until the Church (our “heavenly mother” – Gal 4:16). And can you be sure: Jesus long for being enthralled by His Church as a bride that embraces Him and don’t desire to get rid of this hug.
So:
• Isa 55:6,7 -> “ “Seek the LORD while he may be found; call upon him while he is near; let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; let him return to the LORD, that he may have compassion on him, and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.”.
And when you find Him, act like Mary Magdalene and the other women when Jesus resurrected:
• Mat 28:9 -> “And behold, Jesus met them and said, “Greetings!” And they came up and took hold of his feet and worshiped him.”.
• Joh 20:16,17 -> “Jesus said to her, “Mary.” She turned and said to him in Aramaic, “Rabboni!” (which means Teacher). Jesus said to her, “Do not cling to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father; but go to my brothers and say to them, ‘I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’”
The truth is that we are worse than many of the believers of the Creator in the Old Testament. For instance:
• Psa 42:1 -> “As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God.”.
• Psa 63:1 -> “O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is;”.
• Psa 132:3-5 -> “Surely I will not come into the tabernacle of my house, nor go up into my bed; I will not give sleep to mine eyes, or slumber to mine eyelids, until I find out a place for the LORD, an habitation for the mighty God of Jacob.”.
The detail is that the habitation of the Holy Spirit was granted only for the Church (see John 7:37-39). We should pine for Jesus’ presence as it is said in Romans 8:14.
Nonetheless, many times believers in Christ not even take their bibles with them when go to the temple.
Finally, have a day thoroughly taken in your heart and mind by the desire of being with Jesus in every place, at all time. May your expectance about to stay with Jesus increase in such a level that, don’t mind what you are doing or where you are, you always look forward to every time which allow you to pray and pore on His Holy Scripture (as smaller as it is).
