is to give the infant church a chance to develop -The purpose of the 1,000-year reign
is to give the infant church a chance to develop -
the thousand years is history -
it is the byzantine empire, a christian empire where they reigned with Christ -
I explain this and the rest of the apocalypse in my blog
It would seem to be a strange reign, that slew 50 million true believers, culminated in the Protestant Reformation, spawned the counter-reformation, and contrived dispensationalism's futurism.is to give the infant church a chance to develop -

The promise was Gods promise that he would give it to the seed of Abraham.. So eventually the Seed of Abraham will have what was promised.. That does not mean that the Hebrews who escaped Egypt would be the seed that would fully realize the promise to Abraham nor their Children who where given part of that promised land.. The promise never stated exactly when it would be fulfilled.. But God did give the promise and therefore it shall be Fulfilled... If it is not fulfilled then god would be shown to be a liar.. And God cannot lie.. So one day this promise will be fulfilled and i believe it will be fulfilled during the 1000 year reign of Christ that happens after His return to earth..And what land other than that of Genesis 15:18 would have been sworn to them?
Not according to:
Joshua 21
43 And the Lord gave unto Israel all the land which he sware to give unto their fathers; and they possessed it, and dwelt therein.
Show me from any source you are able to find, where Isrel EVER occupied the land from the Euphrates river to the Nile river, or stop trying to claim It is in Jos.21! It IS NOT in Jos.21 or any place else you can ever find. Nor will it be, until Jesus is reigning on the throne of David for 1,000 years, according to Acts 2:29-30; 15{16 and Rev.20:6.
Quasar92
The source is looking at you: Joshua 21:43, corroborated by Deuteronomy 19:7-9 and Joshua 20:7-9.Show me from any source you are able to find, where Isrel EVER occupied the land from the Euphrates river to the Nile river, or stop trying to claim It is in Jos.21! You need wait no longer. God, speaking through the inerrant inspired writers of Joshua 21:43, Deuteronomy 19:7-9, and Joshua 20:7-9, testifies that He fulfilled His promise to the letter. He does not lie, and He did not lie.The promise was Gods promise that he would give it to the seed of Abraham.. So eventually the Seed of Abraham will have what was promised.. That does not mean that the Hebrews who escaped Egypt would be the seed that would fully realize the promise to Abraham nor their Children who where given part of that promised land.. No mount of dancing, squirming and wriggling around you do, there is nothing in your above Post that comes close to providing the occupation of the land by Israel, to the Euphrates river, 650 miles from Jerusalem. Which will not take place until Jesus reigns on the throne of David for 1,000 years, as I keep telling you!
Quasar92
Here it is again:Show me from any source you are able to find, where Isrel EVER occupied the land from the Euphrates river to the Nile river, or stop trying to claim It is in Jos.21! I believe that a primary issue is the dispen refusal to accept the River of Egypt as the Wadi El-Arish and insistence that it is the Nile. Here it is again:
Looks like King David had to go near the Euphrates River to REcapture land that Israel had once received
2 Samuel 8:3
3Then David defeated Hadadezer, the son of Rehob king of Zobah, as he went to restore his rule at the River.
Let's take a look at all the territory that Solomon ruled over.
2 Chronicles 9:26-25
…25Now Solomon had 4,000 stalls for horses and chariots and 12,000 horsemen, and he stationed them in the chariot cities and with the king in Jerusalem. 26He was the ruler over all the kings from the Euphrates River even to the land of the Philistines, and as far as the border of Egypt.
That sure seems to me that Israel occupied all the land from the Euphrates River to the border of Egypt.
If you get a chance, look at a map of Egypt around 1000 bc. Egypts border Stopped at Sinai. This is where the Nile branches into the Nile delta. So saying Israels land went through Sinai to egypts boarder was to say that it went to the Nile delta.I believe that a primary issue is the dispen refusal to accept the River of Egypt as the Wadi El-Arish and insistence that it is the Nile.
There's a good clarification here.
Great thread.*snip* The Millennium (also known as the Millennial Kingdom) is the 1,000-year reign of Jesus after the Tribulation and before all the people of the world are sent to either heaven or hell. Jesus will reign as king over Israel as well as all the nations of the world (Isaiah 2:4; 42:1). The world will live in peace (Isaiah 11:6–9; 32:18), Satan will be bound (Revelation 20:1–3), and, at the beginning, everyone will worship God (Isaiah 2:2–3). The purpose of the 1,000-year reign is to fulfill promises God made to the world that cannot be fulfilled while Satan is free and humans have political authority. Some of these promises, called covenants, were given specifically to Israel. Others were given to Jesus, the nations of the world, and creation. All of these will be fulfilled during Jesus’ 1,000-year reign.
The main purpose of Jesus’ 1,000-year reign is to fulfill the prophecies given to Israel and the promises made to Jesus, the nations, and the whole earth. God’s covenants were voluntary and one-sided. He promised He would bless Israel and restore the world in specific ways, and He will.
Quasar02
Since we know the Millenial reign starts when Christ returns to earth and resurrects the 144,000 end-time jewish martyrs, we see that the Millenial reign is both a fulfillment of prophesy to the Jewish remnant and a reward for end-time Christian martyrdom. It is also God's way of saying "You've had the Anti-Christ run things. Now have my Son." It's God's way of giving the earth the choice of who to partake of.... Jesus or the Anti-Christ. God or Satan. The Millenium is also a way to refine humanity, since Satan will be locked up, unable to deceive the Millenial nations, yet the descendents of the 144,000 will not all chose Christ, even though they will have lived with Him in person on Earth. These are those who Satan deceives at the end of the 1,000 years and brings to encircle the camp of Jesus Christ and are destroyed by fire from Heaven before the Great White throne judgement.
