Our preacher went on vacation and will be gone for 2 weeks and will have a guest speaker , and will be speaking from Luke 15:11 ,

called the PROGIGAL SON .

Have only heard one preacher , preach on this subject and will be speaking on why he LEFT .

And the Father giving him his inheritance before his Father passed away .

#1 Who is the FATHER in Luke 15:11 .

#2 Who does the #2 Son represent ?

# 3 Who does the number 3 , older son represent ?

Numbers in the bible are a Fascination and BULLINGER has written a book on Numbers .

# 4 Does Luke 15:15-32 speaking to the BODY of Christ ?

# 5 Is it speaking to those in the OLD COVENANT ?

And when we read Luke 15:11-32 any preacher has the parable of the lost son all laid out for him !!

It has the Departure !!

The Misery of the Far country where he spent his spent his substance

And got a Job feeding swine and for Jew , he was at the bottom .

Then he REPENTS and go back to DIETY , means God , # 1

Number # 2 , the Son is associated with SEPARATED and Division

Numbers # 3 is associated with Resurrection in Ezk 37:1-28. and Rom 11:25

I believe is showing How Israel left Christ and Israel never believed that Christ as written in Acts 25- 28

The Prodigal son is preceded by a parable about "lost sheep". Jesus told his disciples to only go to the "lost sheep" of Israel (Matt 10:6).

The first covenant with Israel was accomplished when the nation agreed to follow the laws God would give them. Presumably the new covenant would also need to have the agreement of the nation. God (the father in the story) cannot make his rebellious son understand that his best path lies in following his father's will. The son has to come to that understanding himself perhaps through dire circumstances.

Seeing the nation as divided into faithful and rebellious would be accurate. Seeing the nation united might be a father's hope. Regardless of the choice those of Israel make, a faithful remnant will inherit the kingdom.
